GMA-7’s daytime teleserye, Trops, has been replaced by the midmorning talk show The Lolas’ Beautiful Show.

The JoWaPao trio—composed of Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, and Paolo Ballesteros—are the hosts of the new program that airs right before Eat Bulaga.

They reprise the roles that they first played in Eat Bulaga’s "Kalyeserye" segment, a segment that grew from the immense popularity of the AlDub love team of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza.

When The Lolas’ Beautiful Show opens, Lola Nidora (Wally), Lola Tinidora (Jose), and Lola Tidora (Paolo) welcome the audience to the blessing of their new home. As is the local custom, they throw coins and candies around the stage and live-audience area.

The lolas’ first guest is none other than Superstar Nora Aunor.

According to Lola Tidora (Paolo), the show is called The Lolas’ Beautiful Show “para laging positive at maganda!”

The lolas soon have a visitor, the doorbell rings, and in walks Ate Guy (Nora’s nickname).

Lola Nidora (Wally) says she is Nora's No. 1 fan. To prove this, she shows various photos of the Superstar with Lola Nidora somewhere in the same frame: from a still shot from the now-classic Himala, to a photo in front of Mayon Volcano, to a birthday party of Ate Guy, to a moment with Tirso Cruz III, once the on-and-off screen partner of the Superstar.

Kung mahal mo talaga ako: ano ang pinanalo kong kanta sa Tawag ng Tanghalan?”—referring to the singing tilt that catapulted Ate Guy to fame.

Lola Nidora is able to give the correct answer: “Moonlight Becomes You,” and even sings a few lines from it. She then says that she's a big fan of Nora because “magaling nang kumanta, magaling pang umarte!”

Nora mentions her films that have won international accolades: Bona, Minsa’y Isang Gamu-Gamo, The Flor Contemplacion Story, and Thy Womb.

When they ask Nora for her secret to having a solid fan base throughout the years, she replies: “Mabait naman ako.

Nora confesses that as a young actress, when she was in love and encountered some tampuhan with her leading man, this affected her work schedule.

Kailangan balanse.”

Nora, who started out as a fan herself, admits that she was first an avid fan of Amalia Fuentes.

To which Nora jokes: “Banlag kasi!”

At that point, Lola Nidora, Lola Tinidora, and Lola Tidora take turns trying to act through situations with only their eyes.

The lolas of The Lolas’ Beautiful Show then say goodbye to the audience with these words:

The trio promises that in succeeding episodes, more guests would visit their SSV or “Star-Studded Village”.
