Eliza Pineda, who played the title role in ABS-CBN's 2007 adaptation of Maria Flordeluna, is now a Kapuso.
Her transfer to GMA-7 was announced earlier today, September 28, after the former Kapamilya actress signed a management contract with GMA Artist Center.
On her Instagram account, Eliza expressed her excitement over her new career move.
She wrote, "I'm officially a Kapuso. Thank you so much for the warmest welcome @gmanetwork and @artistcenter.
"Glad to be a new part of this family. So excited to start this new chapter."
Eliza started her career as a child star when she played the young Desiree del Valle in ABS-CBN's 2002 drama series Bituin.
She then became a part of the afternoon series Sarah, The Teen Princess in 2004 as the youngest sister of Sarah Geronimo's character.
The young actress was also a part of Goin' Bulilit's first batch of kiddie talents.
Back then, her batchmates were Julia Montes, Jane Oineza, and Miles Ocampo.
Being part of Goin' Bulilit, Eliza signed up with ABS-CBN's talent management arm, Star Magic.
In 2007, the 11-year-old Eliza got her big break on television when she was tapped to play the title role in Maria Flordeluna, ABS-CBN's TV adaptation of the 1970s drama Flordeluna starring Janice de Belen.
After Maria Flordeluna, Eliza was tapped to play supporting roles—most of them were younger versions of female leads—in teleseryes.
She was last seen in an episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya in 2016, while her last notable role was in the 2015 movie Haunted Mansion, starring Janella Salvador.
