After Alisah Bonaobra, another Filipino contestant gets a second chance in The X Factor UK.
Filipino-Australian contestant Elysa Villareal, going by the name Elysa V in the competition, will now move on to the next round.
The 18-year-old hopeful performed Bruno Mars' "Locked Out of Heaven," along with her bootcamp groupmates El’Tee, Brad Howard, and Sam Black.
Unfortunately, judges Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger, Sharon Osbourne, and Louis Walsh were not impressed by their performance.
Elysa gave an energetic start but El’Tee struggled with the lyrics of the song.
At that point, Simon cut their performance short and remarked, "This is not working, this is a bad song. I'll tell you what we’re going to do. We’re going to judge this a capella."
Sam Black was tasked to go first but after singing one line, he stopped and admitted, "I don't think I can sing good enough, my voice is not good enough on its own."
After their performance, the judges had a long deliberation to determine who would move on to the next round of the competition.
Judge Louis told the group, "This has been so difficult, guys, because the song didn’t suit you.
"Some people were better than the others, but you can see we’ve had a really long conversation about everybody.
"So what we’re going to do is we’re going to give you all a chance."
Upon hearing the good news, Elysa V jumped up and down out of excitement and hugged her groupmates.
Elysa V will move on to the individual bootcamp auditions, which will determine if she will enter the competition's Six Chair Challenge.
Simon warned them: "This is the last pass you get."
Prior to The X Factor UK, Elysa was a contestant at the Australian franchise of The Voice and The X Factor.
She also competed in It's Showtime's "Tawag ng Tanghalan" segment.
Last September 9, Filipina singer Alisah Bonaobra made it to the next round of The X Factor UK, but only after a few embarrassing moments when she pleaded for a second chance.
She was able to win over the judges and make it to the Six Chair Challenge.
