Pia Wurtzbach fell from a low platform while playing a game in It's Showtime. The Miss Universe 2015 winner signed a two-year contract with ABS-CBN on October 9, 2017, the same day she fell.

Pia Wurtzbach signed a two-year contract with ABS-CBN earlier today, October 9, 2017.

Her manager, Jonas Gaffud, disclosed that the 2015 Miss Universe winner is now officially a Kapamilya.

He posted his photo with Pia in his Facebook account and wrote in the caption (published as is):

"Finally, our Miss Universe is now officially a Kapamilya. Just signed a two year contract with ABSCBN. #abscbn #empirephtalents #acesandqueens"

FALLING ONSTAGE. On this day, too, Pia had a minor accident while playing a game during the October 9 episode of It's Showtime.

The Miss Universe 2015 winner fell from a low platform while taking part in the segment called "Cash-Ya Kaya."

The female contestants were lying shoulder-to-shoulder on an elevated platform.

The objective of the game was to get one player to roll over the others until she reached the other side. They picked Pia as the person who would roll over her fellow contestants.

Pia was positioned on one side and she needed to roll over all the way to the other side to win the game.

Unfortunately, Pia could not roll: she had slipped and fallen to the floor.

The crowd chanted, "Pia! Pia!" as the beauty queen tried to compose herself.

Laughing, Pia stood up and gave a high-five to It's Showtime host Billy Crawford.

Billy said to her, "Kapipirma mo lang dito sa ABS-CBN. Welcome as a Kapamilya. Anong masasabi mo sa ginawa mo?"

Pia admitted, "Nanginginig ako. Sulit naman. Hindi naman ako nagsisisi."

Vice Ganda quipped, "Nakatanggap naman siya ng downpayment kanina."

Pia quipped, "Hindi pa po ako bayad."

Vhong Navarro joked, "Ako masaya na 'ko...si Pia na-fall na sa akin."

Billy corrected him, "Akala mo nasalo mo, pero dumiretso ang ulo sa sahig."

The incident gave the quick-on-the-draw Vice Ganda a chance to promote his Metro Manila Film Fest 2017 entry with Pia, "Si Pia wala pang powers, pero sa December, superhero po siya."

For MMFF 2017, Vice Ganda, Pia Wurtzbach, and Daniel Padilla will top-bill the fantasy movie Gandarah N' Guapito: The Revengers.
