Former Star Magic talent Dionne Monsanto is now a Kapuso.
This was announced last October 10 through the Facebook account of AGP House of Characters, the casting agency owned by Rams David.
Dionne posed for a photo at the lobby of the GMA Network Center, together with actor Matt Evans, a fellow AGP talent who also recently transferred to the Kapuso network.
The caption of the post goes: "New Kapuso #AGPBabies Matt Evans & Dionne Monsanto #GMA #AGPHouseOfCharacters"
There were rumors earlier that Dionne would be included in the ABS-CBN afternoon series Wildflower as a new character named "Red Dragon."
In AGP's Facebook post announcing Dionne's move, a netizen commented with a screenshot of a blurred photo and asked if Dionne was indeed poised to join the top rating Kapamilya series.
However, AGP denied this in its reply.
The agency wrote (published as is): "hindi po sya, she never guest po with the show. thank you po"
Before her transfer, Dionne attended the recently concluded Star Magic Ball.
Last September 27, the announcement was made that Dionne would be part of Love Will Lead You Back. This upcoming Kapamilya series is top-billed by Yen Santos, Yam Concepcion, Sam Milby, and Jericho Rosales.
However, with her latest career move, that will not be happening.
Dionne had been with ABS-CBN since 2007, after becoming a finalist in the reality show Pinoy Big Brother Season Two.
She was tapped to do supporting roles in teleseryes, including Super Inggo 1.5 (2007), Lobo (2008), George and Cecil (2009), Ang Lalaking Nagmahal Sa Akin (2009), Lovers in Paris (2009), Paraiso (2012), and Flordeliza (2015).
In 2016, Dionne was given the breakthrough role of Lucy Villadolid, one of the villains in the afternoon series Tubig at Langis.
Her confrontation scenes with Cristine Reyes and Isabelle Daza went viral on social media.
Later that year, Dionne appeared as a guest in an episode of GMA-7's defunct drama anthology Karelasyon.
Dionne's last project with ABS-CBN was the daytime series Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin.
