Ogie Alcasid renewed his exclusive two-year contract with ABS-CBN last October 17.
The singer-songwriter will continue to appear as a hurado in the "Tawag ng Tanghalan" segment of It's Showtime and he will serve as a judge in the new season of Your Face Sounds Familiar. He was previously a judge of YFSF kids edition that started airing in 2016.
Ogie will also continue to be part of ASAP, the Sunday variety show of the Kapamilya network.
The OPM singer hinted that the next edition of Your Face Sounds Familiar could be focused on teenagers.
“Alam ko medyo iba ng konti yata yung concept ngayon. Sobra kasi akong na-excite last year, matagumpay yung aming programa so I’m really looking forward to the launch of the new season of Your Face Sounds Familiar," said Ogie in an interview with ABS-CBN News.
"Siyempre papakita tayo ulit ng mga bago nating mga kalokohan dun. And at the same time, excited ako na makita kung sino yung mga kalahok. I think teenagers ngayon. I’m not so sure.”
Is he open to doing a comedy gag show in ABS-CBN?
It will be recalled that before transferring to TV5, Ogie was part of the GMA-7 comedy show Bubble Gang.
“Oo, nag-uusap kami ni Tita Cory [Vidanes, Chief Operating Officer of Broadcast]. Nagbe-brainstorm na kami," he disclosed.
"Hindi naman namin pinababayaan yun. Kailangan lang siguro tama yung proyekto.
"At siyempre kailangan magandang maganda. So yun yung pinag-uusapan pa namin.”
