The hosts of It's Showtime are in competition again to mark the 8th anniversary of ABS-CBN's noontime show.
They were divided into five groups to create grand production numbers for Magpasikat 2017.
The first group to perform last Monday, October 16, was led by Billy Crawford, Amy Perez, and James Reid.
They performed a Broadway-inspired dance number featuring different magic tricks. The stars were dressed up as princes and princesses of a castle.
Billy did the quick change magic trick with Amy. She is covered by a blanket and gets hidden for just a moment. A fraction of a second later, as the blanket descends, Amy is seen wearing a completely different set of clothes.
On Tuesday, October 17, Vice Ganda, Jugs Jugueta, and Teddy Corpuz presented a heartfelt performance about love.
Jugs played a romantic song on a piano while Vice Ganda recited a poem in reverse.
Teddy surprised his wife Jasmine when he proposed again and married her for the second time in front of the variety show's live audience.
Meanwhile, the team of Anne Curtis, Nadine Lustre, and Ryan Bang chose "Love Parade" as the theme of their performance.
The group presented a live music video with the use of drone cams while Anne and Nadine performed an original song.
The stars used colorful roller blades and hover boards for their number.
For the finale, Ryan was lifted high up in the air while strapped with balloons just like the lead character in the Disney movie Up.
Yesterday, October 19, Vhong Navarro's team performed a dance illusion wherein the Hashtags members imitated Vhong's dance moves.
After the dance illusion part, Vhong added a bit of drama by explaining the whole act.
Apparently, he portrayed a man experiencing depression after his family left him.
The mirror images represented facets of Vhong's personalities.
Earlier today, October 20, the team of Karylle and Jhong Hilario performed a fantasy-themed number.
Despite his busy schedule for the primetime series The Good Son, Hashtags member McCoy de Leon (left) was still able to join the performance.
The judges of this year's edition of Magpasikat are director Rory Quintos, hitmaker Janno Gibbs, La Luna Sangre actress Ina Raymundo, comedian Marc Logan, and Diamond Star Maricel Soriano.
Last year, it was the group of Anne Curtis with Amy Perez, and Joey Marquez who won the annual competition. They won P300,000 for their chosen charity.
PEPsters, who do you think will win in this year's Magpasikat competition of It's Showtime?
