After her tearful elimination at the judges' houses round, Filipino singer Alisah Bonaobra returns to The X Factor UK as a wildcard act.
During the competition's first live show last Saturday, October 28, Alisah was announced as one of the four wildcard acts—or contestants returning to the competition.
The other three acts were Leon Mallet, Talia Dean, and singing duo Jack and Jean.
In a pre-recorded video shown at the live show, Alisah called herself as a "comeback queen," thinking that she was already eliminated in the show twice.
During the bootcamp, the Pinay singer was already eliminated. However, judges Nicole Scherzinger, Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh, and Simon Cowell gave her a second chance.
In the judges's houses round, Sharon told Alisah that she wouldn't make it to the live shows.
Alisah said in the video, "At Six Chair Challenge, I really fought hard just to go through. I never thought that I will sing 'Bang Bang' wearing six-inch heels. Judges’ Houses was when Sharon told me I didn’t go through.
"It’s like my X Factor UK [journey] is really over. My mom just told me, 'If you believe in yourself, the people around will also believe in you.' Now, I’m a wildcard!"
During the live shows, Alisah performed Jordin Sparks's "This Is My Now."
The Voice PH Season 2 runner-up earned a standing ovation from the judges.
After her performance, Sharon told her, "Everybody said in this contest that they really want this and that they really need to be here.
"I know your story. I know what you’ve gone through.
"With a voice like yours, you are going to be here until the end. I am so happy for you."
Former Pussycat Dolls member Nicole, who also has Filipino blood, said she was proud of Alisah.
“You are my little Disney warrior princess. You just karate-chopped all through that song but you did it with grace, with poise, with strength. I freaking adore you. I look at you and I’m like, that’s my little ninja Filipina sister up there," said Nicole.
After public voting, the 22-year-old Pinay will still be seen in the next live show of X Factor UK.
