Marvin Agustin is the latest actor to return to GMA-7.
He is part of the upcoming GMA drama series Santa Santita, which is top-billed by the love team of Bianca Umali and Miguel Tanfelix.
A story conference for the new teleserye was held last October 30.
Aside from Marvin and the BiGuel love team, Carmina Villarroel was also at the storycon. This makes Santa Santita Carmina's first official teleserye after returning to the Kapuso network last September.
Other cast members of the show are Gloria Romero, Christopher de Leon, Jean Garcia, Alfred Vargas, and Jeric Gonzales.
Teen actress Kyline Alcantara, who was first introduced as the villain to Andrea Brillantes in the 2013 adaptation of Annaliza, will be seen on GMA-7 for the first time. For her first Kapuso project, she is cast as the third wheel to the BiGuel love team.
According to the 24 Oras report, Santa Santita will have supernatural elements.
The upcoming series will be aired in GMA's prime-time block. It will be directed by Don Michael Perez, who also helmed BiGuel's last project Mulawin vs. Ravena.
In an interview with 24 Oras aired on November 1, Marvin simply said about the teleserye, "Maganda yung project, exciting yung role. Something na masarap gawin."
Just last Saturday, October 28, Marvin was seen in ABS-CBN's Maalaala Mo Kaya with Cristine Reyes.
It was in 2005 when Marvin first became a Kapuso, after leaving ABS-CBN.
Some of his notable projects in GMA were I Luv NY (2005), MariMar (2007), Babangon Ako't Dudurugin Kita (2008), Gaano Kadalas Ang Minsan (2008), and the drama anthology Dear Friend (2008 to 2010).
In 2012, the 38-year-old actor transferred to TV5, and became the host of Artista Academy.
In 2014, Marvin returned to his original home ABS-CBN, and did the teleseryes Flordeliza (2015) and My Super D (2016).
