Bianca Umali and Miguel Tanfelix promise fans that a different BiGuel will be seen in their upcoming GMA-7 prime-time series.
The Kapuso love team revealed to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Potral) that their show titled Kambal Karibal will replace Alyas Robin Hood Book 2, which is now down to its last week. The Dingdong Dantes-starrer will end its Book 2 after three months on the air.
Some fans believed that the new series Kambal Karibal will have fantasy elements.
However, Bianca is quick to clarify these misconceptions about their new project.
She said, "It's far from fantasy. I think kaya lang siya nasasabi na fantasy it's because we have a supernatural element sa show namin.
"But it's far from Haplos, from Encantadia, from Mulawin. It's very far."
When PEP.ph asked for more details about the project, Bianca answered:
"Hindi namin kaya i-i-spoil, e. Pero ang maaasahan nila is mature roles from the both of us. Kumbaga level up from the usual subject ng palabas namin. And it's heavy drama."
For this new show, Bianca and Miguel get to work with two returning Kapuso actors: Marvin Agustin and Carmina Villarroel.
Veteran actors Jean Garcia and Christopher de Leon are also part of the cast.
Bianca admitted, "Kahit kami nagulat because when we first heard na meron kaming project, we didn't know any details about it.
"Nalaman lang namin noong nag storycon na kami, doon lang namin nakita lahat ng mga kasama namin and nagulat kami na we have Mr. Christopher de Leon, Marvin Agustin, Jean Garcia, Carmina Villarroel, ganun pala kagrabe yung cast namin.
"Talagang wow. So yes, malaki po yung cast namin."
PEP.ph spoke to Bianca and Miguel during the bloggers's conference of Barbi, 'D Wonder Beki held at Limbaga 77 Restaurant in Quezon City.
The BiGuel love team got its big break in 2015 via the prime-time show Once Upon A Kiss. Their fellow cast members have already started taping with their director Don Michael Perez.
BiGuel's last project was the prime-time series Mulawin vs. Ravena, which aired from May to September 2017.
