Isabel Granada's mother, Mommy Guapa, and husband Arnel Cowley were both emotional upon seeing the star of the late actress at this year's Walk of Fame event.
The celebrity induction, which was held yesterday, November 21, gave Isabel a posthumous award after she succumbed to brain aneurysm last November 4 (Doha time) in Qatar.
Other celebrities such as Solenn Heussaff, Matteo Guidicelli, Kris Bernal, Atom Araullo, and Empoy, also received their stars at the 12th anniversary of Walk of Fame Philippines.
This project was the brainchild of the late German "Kuya Germs" Moreno.
Others who received their stars posthumously were late directors Eddie Romero and Emmanuel Borlaza, radio broadcaster Joe Taruc, and Filipina comedian Chichay (Amparo Robles Custodio).
Director-scriptwriter Freddie Santos was the lone recipient of a Walk of Fame star for theater.

Mommmy Guapa and Arnel were both emotional when Isabel's star was unveiled at the Walk of Fame in Eastwood.
In an interview, Mommy Guapa admitted, "Sobrang saya kasi sa karangalan na binigay, pero sana siya ang kumuha nito, hindi ako." -
Comedian Empoy Marquez, who is now tagged as "The New Pogi," received his star for the movie category. This came after the success of his movie Kita Kita, which is now considered to be the highest-grossing independent movie of all-time.

Solenn Heussaff was also one of the celebrity inductees this year for the TV category. Solenn played two important roles in GMA-7 shows this 2017: the Cassiopea character in the requel of Encantadia and Iris in Alyas Robin Hood Book Two.

Jake Zyrus received his star for the Music category. His former persona, Charice, previously received a star at the Walk of Fame in December 2010. She was recognized back then for recording the international hit "Pyramid" and for being included in the Hollywood TV series gLee.
Jake's star serves as a tribute to the invaluable contributions of the LGBT community to Philippine entertainment.

Reporter Atom Araullo, who recently transferred to GMA-7, was one of the celebrity inductees in the News and Public Affairs category.

Matteo Guidicelli was awarded his star at the Walk of Fame for the TV category. The singer-actor recently starred in the film The Ghost Bride.
With this new achievement, Matteo wrote on Instagram, "This I consider a milestone in my career."

Kris Bernal, who plays a dual role in the afternoon series Impostora, was also inducted in the TV category.
She expressed her gratitude by writing on her Instagram account :
"God heard me and He responded. Another answered prayer. This is the 12th year of the Walk of Fame as propagated by Kuya Germs. Thank you to the Walk of Fame members. I feel important and more inspired to do more great things in showbiz. I am greatly honored to be part of it. Thank you GMA Network and GMA Artist Center for making this dream a reality. I dedicate this to my family, friends, and supporters."

Regal Films matriarch Mother Lily Monteverde got her star at the Walk of Fame for the movie category. She was joined by her daughter Roselle Monteverde-Teo, who is also a film producer for Regal.

Broadcast journalist Karen Davila, who celebrated her birthday on the night of the induction, received her star for the News and Public Affairs category.

Senator Grace Poe took the time to attend the induction. She placed flowers on the respective stars of her late father Fernando Poe Jr. and German Moreno, the founder of the Eastwood City Walk of Fame.

Journalist Anthony Taberna received his star for the News and Public Affairs category.

Joe D' Mango, who flew all the way from Australia, received his star for the Radio catgeory. He is known as the radio DJ of the popular program Love Notes.

Alternative rock band Parokya ni Edgar got its Walk of Fame star for the Music category.
