Is Jasmine Curtis Smith transferring to a new TV network soon?

Since the expiration of her contract with TV5 last November 2016, rumors have been floating about Jasmine's next career move.

Recently, the 23-year-old actress became more visible in ABS-CBN to promote her 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival entry Siargao, together with co-stars Erich Gonzales and Jericho Rosales, who are both from the Kapamilya network.

In fact, the younger sister of Anne Curtis graced the Christmas Party for the Press organized by ABS-CBN Corporate Communications yesterday, December 14.

Host Ogie Diaz directly asked Jasmine if she will be a Kapamilya.

Jasmine answered, "Wala pa naman."

The former Kapatid actress said she is thankful that she gets to visit the Kapamilya network to promote her movies.

She continued, "Mga interview lang with Tito Boy [Abunda]. May annual visit kasi ako dito sa ABS-CBN para sa mga interview at promos tuwing may pelikula ako.

"Kaya napaka-thankful ko at nakakavisit ako, nakakatawid ako kahit ano pang network ko before."

In the past, Jasmine was able to promote her movies in ABS-CBN even though she still had an existing contract with TV5.

These films included: Halik Sa Hangin (2015, which was produced by Star Cinema), and Baka Bukas (2016, a finalist to Cinema One Originals film festival which had a nationwide release in early 2017).

NEW KAPUSO? Back in January 2017, Jasmine was once rumored to transfer to GMA-7.

At that time, a showbiz blogsite claimed that the actress will be part of Mulawin vs. Ravena.

However, Jasmine's management company Vidanes Celebrity Marketing denied the rumor and clarified that she has not signed a contract with any network after she left TV5.

In a report published in PEP Alerts today, December 15, PEP.ph contributor Gorgy Rula also said that it was once reported that Jasmine was supposed to be a Kapuso.

However, she has not done any major TV project to date.

Jasmine's last teleserye was the 2015 fantasy series Ang Panday aired in TV5, where she was briefly paired with Richard Gutierrez, who is now with ABS-CBN.
