Dennis Trillo admitted that there were awkward moments the first time he shot intimate scenes with his leading ladies in The One That Got Away (TOTGA).
In this show, he gets to work with three actresses of GMA-7: Lovi Poe, Rhian Ramos, and Max Collins.
Based on the trailer, Dennis shot several kissing and intimate scenes with each of his three leading ladies, who are cast as his ex-girlfriends in the show.
He said, "Sa umpisa, medyo may mga awkward moments.
"Pero kailangan mong i-break yung ice siyempre, by talking to them, para kung papaano gagawin yung eksena.
While taping the scenes, Dennis made sure that his leading ladies didn't feel taken advantage of.
Dennis spoke to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at the presscon of TOTGA held at NIX.05 restobar in Tomas Morato, Quezon City last January 4.
Among his three leading ladies, who was he most challenged by for the intimate scenes?
He answered frankly, "Siguro, kay Max. Baka kay Max, kasi first time.
Dennis has also already worked with Lovi, in the 2011 film My Neighbor's Wife, where they played a married couple.
These intimate scenes, says Dennis, will be seen by viewers in the pilot week of TOTGA, which starts airing tonight, January 15, after Kambal Karibal.

TOTGA VS. JHLS. When GMA-7 first introduced the three leading ladies of TOTGA, Dennis did not know yet that he would be the leading man in the series.
At the time, Dennis had just wrapped up taping for his now-defunct fantasy series, Mulawin vs. Ravena.
"Sa totoo lang, hindi pa. Medyo late na sinabi sa akin and, actually, hindi ko ine-expect na magkakaroon pa ako ng show after Mulawin bago magtapos ang taon.
"Pero, siyempre, natuwa ako na kami yung isa sa mga unang shows ng taon sa GMA, kaya I feel so blessed na nagkaroon ako ng show na ganito and nagkaroon ako ng tatlong naggagandahang leading ladies.
"It's so refreshing na magkaroon ng ganitong klaseng project after Mulawin."
What added to his excitement is that it was the first time he was portraying a character like Liam.
Of his character, he said, "Ideal.
Before TOTGA, Dennis was known for his other adult romantic-comedy, Juan Happy Love Story (2016), where he played the cheating husband of Heart Evangelista.
How would he compare this new rom-com to his previous show?
"Feeling ko maganda rin yung nagkaroon ako ng show na ganun in preparation to this one."
DENJEN. In real life, Dennis is the boyfriend of Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado.
Just like him, Jennylyn has also done many intimate scenes with her leading men in both movies and television.
In fact, the actress did torrid kissing scenes with Derek Ramsay in the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival entry All of You.
PEP.ph asked Dennis: Do they have to ask permission from each other before doing a sensual scene?
Dennis answered with a smile, "Well, ano 'yan, e, trabaho yan. So you gotta do what you gonna do!"
Dennis had previously worked with Jennylyn in the 2015 drama series My Faithful Husband.
