GMA-7's Prime-Time Queen Marian Rivera remains a loyal Kapuso after signing another three-year exclusive contract on February 5, 2018.
GMA Network executives Chairman and CEO Felipe Gozon, President and COO Gilberto Duavit, SVP for Entertainment Lilybeth Rasonable, APT Entertainment CEO Mike Tuviera, and Triple A's Rams David were all present during the contract signing.
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other members of the press had a chance to interview Marian at a press conference held right after the contract signing.
During the interview, the Kapuso actress-TV host declared, “Proud to be Kapuso talaga ako forever.”
Marian said she never entertained the thought of leaving the Kapuso network.
"So what else can I ask for, di ba?
Now 33 years old, the actress started her career as a Kapuso way back in 2005.
Some of her most memorable projects include MariMar (2007), Mars Ravelo’s Dyesebel (2008), Mars Ravelo’s Darna (2009), Amaya (2011), and Temptation of Wife (2012).
Just recently, Marian wrapped up taping for Super Ma'am, her prime-time telefantasya that started airing in September 2017.
Now that she signed another exclusive contract with the Kapuso network, new projects are definitely on the way.
Marian said, "Sabi nga ni Atty.
Marian gives her full trust to the Kapuso network and her management when it comes to deciding which projects to pursue this 2018.
The Super Ma'am star said, "For sure meron at meron. Siyempre, after ng contract signing, for sure after next month magmi-meeting kami, 'O Marian, ito yung mga projects naming para sa 'yo, ito ang gagawin natin.'
"So palagi namang ganun ang GMA sa akin, e. Fair and square talaga sila.
"At hanggang ngayon kaya very thankful talaga ako especially 'pag nagko-collab sila ng management ko, with Triple A and GMA , parang panatag ang loob ko."
Members of the press wondered if Marian wants to do another heavy drama prime-time drama soon. The Kapuso star said nothing is set in stone yet, but she's very much open to doing a drama series for GMA.
Marian told the press, "Why not?
Aside from her TV projects, Marian also hopes to do a movie this 2018. Is she open to working with new leading men from other TV networks?
Marian, however, said she prefers to be paired with fellow Kapuso stars.
Members of the press also asked her if she's open to doing a comeback project with her husband Dingdong Dantes. It's been a while since the couple teamed up for a TV show. Their last project as a love team was My Beloved, which aired in 2012.
Marian said in jest, "Malay niyo bigyan kami ng GMA ng sitcom, hindi namin alam."
