ABS-CBN's talent arm Star Magic recently launched its newest roster of talents who are collectively called the 2018 Star Magic Circle.
The new batch boasts a mix of familiar and fresh faces, including commercial models, new discoveries, acting workshoppers, reality show hopefuls, and showbiz royalties.
These 13 new talents are Donny Pangilinan, Zonia Mejia, Yasmyne Suarez, Henz Villaraiz, Daniela Stranner, Patty Mendoza, Leila Alcasid, Anna Luna, Chantal Videla, Karl Gabriel, Markus Paterson, Charlie Dizon, and Tony Labrusca.

DONNY PANGILINAN
Donny is not exactly new to showbiz since he already had numerous TV appearances. He started with a guest appearance in Magandang Buhay together with his mother, former actress Maricel Laxa. The trending appearance led to his own showbiz career, including a stint as a MYX VJ.
In 2017, Donny was launched as a recording artist. He has already released two singles: "Did You" and "Different Kind of Love."
The 20-year-old Star Magic talent is set to try acting this 2018. He is currently shooting the Regal Films movie Walwal and is gearing up for his first teleserye Playhouse starring Angelica Panganiban and Zanjoe Marudo. In both projects, Donny is paired with Pinoy Big Brother Lucky 7 housemate Kisses Delavin.

TONY LABRUSCA
Tony was first seen in a commercial, and he later joined the competition Pinoy Boyband Superstar. Even though he did not make it in the Top 5, this 22-year-old newbie was immediately given a break when he was tapped to portray Jake in La Luna Sangre. He has also graced the pages of YES! Magazine's "Pogi Series" in late 2017.
The son of actor-dancer Boom Labrusca and former Kulay singer Angel Jones was able to release his debut single "Tanging Ikaw." He also has occasional guest appearances in ASAP.
Tony is currently looking forward to hosting an online show with Kisses Delavin. He is rumored to join the cast of Liza Soberano's Darna movie.

LEILA ALCASID
Leila's entry to showbiz didn't come as a surprise. After all, her parents are hitmaker Ogie Alacasid and former beauty queen Michelle Van Eimeren. Leila's first taste of showbiz happened when she had a guest appearance in GMA-7's Sarap Diva. This 2018, she signed a contract with Star Music.
Under Star Music, she was able to release her single titled "Completely In Love With You." Leila has also done acting workshops with Star Magic, and hopes to star in a film with her dad.

ANNA LUNA
Anna established a name for herself prior to joining the 2018 Star Magic Circle. In fact, she already won acting awards for her portrayals in independent films. Her performance in Lemuel Lorca's Maestra earned for her a Best Actress award at the Five Continents International Film Festival in Venezuela.
In mainstream television and films, the 22-year-old actress has appeared in the Kapamilya teleseryes Pure Love (2014) and Oh My G (2015), as well as Star Cinema movies The Breakup Playlist (2015), How To Be Yours (2016), and Dear Other Self (2017).
Anna's most recent film was the award-winning Cinema One Originals entry Changing Partners and she is currently part of the afternoon teleserye Hanggang Saan as Rizalina Bonifacio.

ZONIA MEJIA
Zonia started her career by joining Pinoy Big Brother 737, where she was dubbed as the "Blossoming Beauty ng Quezon City" in 2015.
Though she did not make it to the Big Night, her acting career flourished when she was tapped as the third wheel to Nash Aguas and Alexa Ilacad in the defunct youth-oriented series Luv U.
The 16-year-old newbie was also part of the afternoon series The Promise of Forever as Ritz Azul's cousin.
Currently, Zonia is looking forward to her next project, and wishes to work again with Nash and Alexa.

MARKUS PATERSON
Markus actually had to endure four unsuccessful go-sees with Mr. M (Johnny Manahan) before making it to Star Magic. When he passed, he was able to have a stint in ASAP Chill Out.
He also tried his luck in Pinoy Boyband Superstar. Despite not winning the competition, it opened doors for him in showbiz, and allowed him to be a part of Wansapanataym and a series to be aired online.
Currently, Markus is part of Sana Dalawa Ang Puso and he recently signed up with Tarsier Records.

CHARLIE DIZON
Prior to getting into show business, Charlie was so passionate that she juggled her time by taking acting workshops while finishing a degree in Human Resources Management for two years.
After a long wait, her hard work paid off when she was tapped to be part of movies such as Finally Found Someone and Loving In Tandem. Her big break came when she became a part of Seven Sundays as Enrique Gil's best friend.
Her stint in Seven Sundays paved the way for Charlie to earn a role in the fantasy soap Bagani as a third wheel to LizQuen (Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil). She also wishes to take part in doing comedy roles in the future.

HENZ VILLARAIZ
Henz first tried his luck in showbiz when he joined Pinoy Boyband Superstar in 2016, where he landed a spot in the Top 10.
Despite not being able to make it in BoybandPH, Henz continued show business through acting. Currently, he is part of the daytime series Sana Dalawa Ang Puso, where he is paired with Ylona Garcia.

YASMYNE SUAREZ
Yasmyne may be a newbie but she has been training under Star Magic as early as 2013. She later decided to study Theater in the Ivy League school New York University for two years.
When she returned to the Philippines, the 20-year-old aspiring actress continued attending workshops conducted by ABS-CBN's talent arm. She was able to use what she has learned when she was cast in a short stint for the horror flick Spirit of the Glass 2.
Now that she's launched as Star Magic's newest talents, Yasmyne wishes to work with director Olivia Lamasan.

DANIELA STRANNER
DANIELA wanted to be a model before she was discovered at a music festival.
A VTR session led her to Star Magic, and she later signed up for acting workshops. Soon, she was able to grace photo shoots for local magazines.
Though she has yet to experience acting, Daniela wishes to star in romantic-comedy films.

PATTY MENDOZA
Patty was discovered when she modeling for her alma mater University of Sto. Tomas. This paved the way for her to have a go-see with Star Magic head Johnny "Mr. M" Manahan.
She is not a newbie when it comes to gracing TV screens since she has already taken part in a number of commercials. Now that she's with ABS-CBN, she hopes to work with her idols Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz.

CHANTAL VIDELA
Chantal started in showbiz as a commercial model when she was just 13 years old. She later decided to try her luck and auditioned for Star Magic, allowing her to join the latest roster of its talents.
This 15-year-old Fil-Argentinian has yet to try acting, but she wishes to work with Liza Soberano in a rom-com project.

KARL GABRIEL
Karl signed up for Star Magic's public acting workshop in 2016 while juggling his time as a Mechanical Engineering student. He also auditioned for the singing competition Pinoy Boyband Superstar but unfortunately, he did not make it to the live shows.
However, fate found a way when he landed a role in Wansapantaym: Amazing Ving as one of the bullies. In the show, he was able to work with Awra Briguela, Kisses Delavin, and Marco Gallo.
Now that Karl is launched as a Star Magic talent, he hopes to top-bill his own project and work with actress Liza Soberano.
