American actor Cole Sprouse gave fans a hint on what they could expect from his character in the Hollywood series Riverdale.

Cole plays the role of Jughead Jones, the current love interest of Betty Cooper (played by his real-life rumored girlfriend, Lily Reinhart).

The 25-year-old former child star said a lot is definitely going to happen on his role now that Jughead is put quite into a dangerous place.

Cole revealed, "The end of season 2, without spoiling too much, leaves Jughead in a super precarious spot.

"He's put himself in a very public platform, in the latter half of this season, which put a big target on his back.

"He's probably, more than any other character in the town, has made the most enemies.

"It's just enemy after enemy so he's in a very dangerous spot at the end of this season that'll pick up immediately in the next season."

Cole talked about his Riverdale character at the April 20 press conference of his mall shows for Bench held at Shangri-La Hotel in Makati City.

A member of the press asked Cole how he prepares for his scenes.

The former star of the now defunct Disney series The Suite Life of Zack & Cody says he follows two different approaches for his TV and film acting.

Cole narrated, "I think this is one of the most confusing things in acting is that working on something like a 22 episode, hour-long drama is a very different kind of acting as opposed to independent film or any kind of film.

"So it requires, in essence, it requires a different approach. In some cases, we don't get the material until the night before we start shooting.

"Which doesn't really allow a kind of pre-medidation on the material to think over, and really pour over your approach to the material.

"It requires to kind of right in the middle of method approach, where you're either on all time or kind of living that.

"Or you just have to turn it on when you're on set. It depends on the material."

The Riverdale star added, "But for me I try to get as much time with the source material as much as possible given the limitations, and I approach and try to live the character outside of set as well.

"The good thing about Riverdale is that we have 75 years of Archie comics which allows us to dive intro 75 years of research to pull little character quirks and things from.

Having played the role for two years also helped him to be in character in a snap.

Cole explained, "I, at least have lived the character for two years so you kinda know how the characters going to interact.

"And we know the abstract of the show well enough, that we know that it can kind of poke fun on itself, it's tongue and cheek about things.

"And so we know how to maneuver within those scenes in a way that you can just turn on now after two full years of working with that."

Aside from Riverdale, Cole will be starring in a romantic drama movie Five Feet Apart, where he is reportedly playing a character with a life-threatening illness who falls in love with someone experiencing the same condition.

For this project, Cole said he was given plenty amount of time to prepare and memorize the script.

"For something like this film I'm doing, I've already memorized the script months and months ahead of time.

"'Cause I have that luxury and that's something I've been meaning to do.

"It's a different approach in every kind of medium that you're going to."

During his Manila visit, a fan spotted Cole wearing a sando as he crossed the street to reach Lucky Chinatown Mall in Binondo. In the short video uploaded in the Facebook account of Lou Aspiras, the Hollywood actor can be seen waving to the driver.
