Sofia Andres opened up about her sudden exit from the ABS-CBN prime-time series Bagani.
Her character Mayari was one of the five heroes in the fictional world of Sansinukob. Mayari was killed off in the April 5 episode when she was struck by lightning unleashed by Sarimaw (Ryan Eigenmann).
“Nakaplano siya talaga na ganun po. Sinabi po 'yon from the very start,” she was quoted as saying in an interview with PUSH.
However, the 19-year-old actress admitted that she did not expect her stint to be over so soon.
“Sabi ko, kailan kaya ako mamamatay? So seventh week na pala 'yon. Ang bilis pala. Pero okay lang, at least I was a part of it.
“Ang nakaka-miss lang po talaga ang mag-taping sa Bagani kasi lahat naman po sila friends ko talaga.”
The four other baganis are played by Liza Soberano, Enrique Gil, Makisig Morales, and Matteo Guidicelli.
To replace Mayari, Liksi (Zaijian Jaranilla) became the newest bagani bestowed with the Kalasag ng Kataw.
Before Liksi, Mayari first owned the Kalasag ni Kataw, the shield that can protect the people of Sansinukob.
Sofia recently became involved in a controversy because of her behavior that was deemed "rude."
The Kapamilya actress was called out for using her phone during an interview and a press conference.
Sofia posted a lengthy apology where she admitted, "I’ve been using my phone during the interview so now, I’ve learned. I mean, just be focused kasi during that time, I was really, I had issues."
