Now it can be told.
GMA-7's Pambansang Bae Alden Richards is set to return to prime-time television.
He is set to top-bill the upcoming Kapuso fantasy series Victor Magtanggol.
"Si Victor Magtanggol ay simpleng tao na nabigyan ng ekstraordinaryong misyon."
He also said, "Natuwa ako at na-excite kasi yung puso ng character naramdaman ko na agad, binasa ko pa lang yung first week ng script."
Alden vowed that Filipino viewers can easily relate to the show's very timely theme.
"So yung mga Filipino na may prinsipyo, pag inatasan mo gawin ang isang bagay paninindigan nila."
The report in 24 Oras has not confirmed yet anything about Alden's cast members nor his leading ladies.
A short teaser was also released during the report.
It is unclear if his perennial on-screen partner Maine Mendoza will co-headline this TV series.
Previous reports, however, mentioned speculations that she will not be a part of the teleserye.
There was talk that Alden's possible leading ladies just might be Inah de Belen, Janine Gutierrez, and Jasmine Curtis-Smith.
Inah had already denied that she will be part of the show, and was announced that she is in the upcoming afternoon series Ika-5 Utos: Huwag Kang Papatay.
Meanwhile, no word has been heard yet from Janine and Jasmine.
Other cast members of Victor Magtanggol who were cited in reports were Eric Quizon and John Estrada, who have just finished their respective teleseryes in ABS-CBN.
All these speculations about Alden's co-stars in the teleserye are yet to be revealed in future announcements of GMA-7.
