ABS-CBN's late night talk show, Gandang Gabi Vice (GGV), just celebrated its 7th anniversary on the air.
The first part of its anniversary episode that aired on June 2 introduced a new segment of GGV called "Tanong Mo, Mukha Mo."
GGV host Vice Ganda was the first guest, with veteran talk show host Boy Abunda serving as segment host.
Photos of 7 individuals were shown to Vice Ganda. The comedian then had to ask a question for each person shown in the segment.
The comedian made one request: "Tito Boy, please be kind to me. I have to make my nanay proud."
Vice was referring to his mother Rosario Viceral who was watching in the audience area.
The segment was filled with funny and tearful moments as the TV host-comedian opened up about the persons selected for this segment.
Here are the 7 questions that Vice Ganda came up with while doing "Tanong Mo, Mukha Mo:"
1. The first face flashed onscreen was ABS-CBN Chief Content Officer and former President Charo Santos-Concio.
When Vice Ganda saw her face, he quipped, "Baka last anniversary ko na!"
His question for Charo had something to do with the blue blouse she was wearing in the photo.
When Boy asked who is "mas maganda" between him and Charo, Vice Ganda answered, "Ma'am Charo, aminin na natin!
He turned to the big screen and said bnout Charo's photo: "Ganda ka!"
2. The second photo showed the TVJ triumvirate: Eat Bulaga hosts Senator Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon.
Eat Bulaga is the direct rival program of Vice Ganda's noontime show It's Showtime.
Upon seeing the photo, Vice Ganda joked, "Ay, hindi pa po pala ako handa."
Finally, he said: "Ah, gusto kong itanong sa kanilang tatlo kung natatawa ba kayo sa akin o nabubwisit ba kayo sa akin?"
Boy then asked the comedian to come up with a title if ever he will do a movie with the three main hosts of Eat Bulaga.
Vice Ganda candidly answered, "Eat Showtime!"
The Kapamilya host also had another option: "Tito, Vic and Joey kasama ang isang Beki."
3. The third personality was Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
Vice was quick to give a question.
Audiences laughed upon hearing his question.
When Boy asked if Vice finds the president sexy, he immediately answered, "Yes, he's very sexy."
What if President Duterte asked Vice to run for Senator in the 2019 elections?
Vice's answer?
4. According to Boy, the next person in the list was Vice's close friend who recently became a center of intrigue.
It was revealed to be Coco Martin.
Vice Ganda then asked Coco, using their term of endearment, "Dengdeng, anong kapangyarihan ni Cardo, bakit di siya namamatay?"
Cardo is Coco's character in the Kapamilya prime-time series FPJ's Ang Probinsyano, which has airing since September 2015.
5. The fifth person to appear on the screen was former La Salle Green Archers player Ricci Rivero.
6. Boy dropped a hint about the second to the last person by saying: "Matagal nang hindi nagkakasama."
Vice stood up from his seat and asked for water because he said he was feeling stressed.
Despite the tension, Vice managed to joke about Boy's outfit, which was designed like a poncho raincoat.
The screen then showed Vice's late father, Reynaldo Viceral.
The TV host paused for a long time before posing a question.
Some viewers shrieked out of excitement upon hearing the question.
However, they were all silenced by Vice's answer.
7. The last photo was unexpected for Vice Ganda whom Boy described as someone who is "sobrang malapit sa puso mo.
The screen then showed Tutoy, the younger version of Vice Ganda.
Vice Ganda first asked, "Tutoy, ganda ka?"
He then turned serious and asked: "Kung makakausap ko si Tutoy, gusto kong itanong sa kanya ngayon kung masaya ka ba sa kung anong ginawa ko sa buhay ni Tutoy?"
Boy then asked Vice Ganda: "Vice, how much of that Tutoy is still there?
The comedian answered, "I will forever be Tutoy, Tito Boy, that will never change. I will forever remain to be Tutoy because Tutoy is my nanay's happiness.
Vice Ganda became emotional at that point and started shedding tears.
He continued, "Kaya hindi pwedeng mawala si Tutoy. Pwedeng mawala si Vice Ganda pero hindi pwede si Tutoy because Tutoy is my Nanay's love. Tutoy is my nanay's source of joy.
"I will forever be Tutoy and I will always want to be Tutoy and I will always go back to be Tutoy."
Vice admitted that there are times when he would unintentionally neglect being "Tutoy."
"There are moments na nakakaligtaan ko na si Tutoy but I always remind myself na 'Uy, you have to go back to Tutoy because Tutoy is real.'
The GGV host also reminisced about his childhood, which caused him to shed even more tears.
Boy then stood up from his chair to give Vice Ganda a hug.
Vice explained why he became emotional.
"Kaya ayokong mawala si Tutoy kasi hindi pwedeng mawala yung kasiyahan ng nanay ko kasi that's the most important thing in this world.
"Kahit tanggalin ng Diyos lahat, suot ko, buhok ko, alahas ko, boyfriend, wala na akong pakialam, huwag lang niyang tatanggalin yung kasiyahan ng nanay ko because that's the most imoortant thing."
His mother, who was already crying in the audience area, stood up and went to the stage to give her son a long and emotional hug.
After their long hug, Vice took his microphone and lightened up the mood with a joke.
"Ay, comedy pala 'tong GGV, 'Nay, nakalimutan natin. Sabado pala yung MMK! Nakalimutan natin, mother!
In the end, he told his mom, "I love you, smile, we're happy and we will be happier."
The second part of GGV's anniversary special will be aired next Sunday, June 10.
