Kylie Padilla and Ruru Madrid are set to team up again via GMA-7's prime-time series The Cure.
Ruru posted a photo of him and Kylie on his Instagram account last Friday, June 29.
The Cure director Mark Reyes also posted on his Instagram account his photo with the KyRu love team.
He wrote, "Super happy that these 2 get to guest on #gmathecure Nice to be working with @kylienicolepadilla @rurumadrid8 again #encafamily #kyru #ybramihan #adiraxavier"
Adira is the name of Kylie's character while Ruru portrays Xavier.
This serves as the reunion of Kylie and Ruru, whose team-up was first seen in Encantadia 2016.
The Cure also serves as Kylie's first teleserye after she gave birth.
In an interview with GMANetwork.com, Ruru expressed how excited he is to work again with Kylie after one year and six months.
He said, "Actually, kami ni Ky [Kylie's nickname] after Enca, ngayon lang kami ulit nagkita kasi medyo matagal na, parang mag-two years na rin.
"Kaya nakakagulat… na-meet ko na rin si Alas tapos sobrang cute, and sobrang na-excite talaga akong maka-trabaho ulit si Kylie kasi iba, e, iba pa rin talaga.
"Kaya sobrang natutuwa ako na sila [Team Enca] ulit yung kasama ko.”
Back then, Ruru, who played Ybrahim, was originally paired with perennial love team partner Gabbi Garcia, who played Alena.
However, Ybrahim's connection with Amihan (Kylie) gained attention from viewers, prompting Encantadia creators to focus on the romance between their characters.
Back then, the KyRu love team was cut short when Kylie had to leave the show because of her pregnancy.
In her blog post published in March 2017, Kylie admitted that she was heartbroken when she had to leave the show, since she wanted to see her character Amihan marry Ybrahim.
Ruru was then paired again with Gabbi in the prime-time series Sherlock Jr., which was also cut short when Gabbi's character was killed off in the series.
In May 2018, GMA-7 officially announced the break-up of the GabRu love team.
