After their respective successful afternoon teleseryes in 2017, Kris Bernal and Thea Tolentino will work together for the first time in an upcoming GMA-7 show.

They are set to top-bill the series titled The Betrayed Wife.

This was announced by GMANetwork.com through an article published last July 3.

According to the article, Kris will play Rachel, a hard-working chef who will face a tragedy in her life after the death of her husband and child.

She will later meet a guy who will make her fall in love again.

As everything falls into place, Rachel will find out that the guy already has a fiancee named Catriona, to be played by Thea Tolentino.

Aside from being rivals for one man, a secret also connects Rachel and Catriona together.

It can be noticed that the names of Kris and Thea's characters seemed to be based on recent Miss Universe-Philippines title-holders Rachel Peters and Catriona Gray.
