Three new teleseryes are set to air on GMA-7 for the third quarter of 2018.
The Kapuso network recently launched its omnibus plug featuring its line-up for July to September 2018.
Two prime-time series and one daytime drama are expected to air in the coming weeks.
This includes the fantasy series headlined by Alden Richards, the return of Nora Aunor on prime-time, and the first teleserye of Sunshine Cruz on GMA-7.
The reality singing competition The Clash, which already premiered last July 7, was also included in the omnibus plug.
Here are the programs to be aired on GMA-7 for the third quarter of 2018:
Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez serves as the main host of the reality program The Clash, which already aired its first two episodes last July 7-8.
This is Regine's comeback to hosting reality competitions after many years. In the past, she used to host Star For A Night (2002-2003, IBC-13), Search For A Star (2003-2004), Pinoy Pop Superstar (2004-2007), Celebrity Duets (2007-2009), Are You The Next Big Star? (2009), and Bet ng Bayan (2014).
The Top 62 Clashers are already on the One-On-One round, wherein two clashers face each other and judges will select who will move on to the next round.
The judges of The Clash are Christian Bautista, Ai-Ai Delas Alas, and Lani Misalucha, who makes a Kapuso comeback after more than 10 years.
Joyce Pring and Andre Paras also serve as backstage hosts.
KAPAG NAHATI ANG PUSO
This drama series, which was formerly titled Karibal Ko Ang Aking Ina, will serve as Sunshine Cruz's first full-length teleserye with GMA-7, after being with ABS-CBN since her showbiz comeback in 2012.
In the omnibus plug, it was seen that her character will figure in a love triangle with Bing Loyzaga and Zoren Legaspi.
Sunshine's character ends up having a rivalry with her own daughter, played by Bea Binene, as they both fall in love with the character played by Benjamin Alves.
In a separate trailer being aired on TV, it was shown that Bea is Sunshine's daughter with Zoren.
However, Sunshine did not know this, after Bea was taken away by Zoren and Bing, and raised her as their own.
Kapag Nahati Ang Puso, which story revolves around the world of fashion, is set to premiere on July 16 before Eat Bulaga!
The drama series is directed by Gil Tejada, Jr, and will replace the romantic drama series My Guitar Princess.
Also part of the series is David Licauco.
Superstar Nora Aunor makes a teleserye comeback after three years for this prime-time drama series. This project was first launched with the title Extraordinary Love.
Playing the title role in the show is Jo Berry, who was first discovered in a 2016 episode of Magpakailanman.
Also part of this series are Mikee Quintos and Kate Valdez, who were first introduced in the prime-time series Encantadia. The two will play sisters who were separated at birth.
Cherie Gil, who previously worked with Nora in the ABS-CBN 2002 series Bituin, is cast as the main villain in this teleserye.
Based on the teaser, Kate's character will express her dislike towards Onay (Jo).
Playing leading man to Kate and Mikee is Enrico Cuenca.
No date has been announced yet for Onanay, but it is believed to replace Kambal Karibal, which already announced its finale.
Onanay was supposed to air last May to replace the series, however, Kambal Karibal earned another extension.
Alden Richards is set to return to GMA Telebabad via the fantasy-themed series Victor Magtanggol.
In the plug, it was seen that Yuan "Paopao" Francisco was telling his lola Coney Reyes about his idol superhero.
It turns out that the superhero is Victor Magtanggol, played by Alden.
The teaser also showed a few action stunts of Alden fighting his enemies played by John Estrada and Pancho Magno.
Also seen in the plug was Andrea Torres, who was wearing a costume.
Janine Gutierrez, who is believed to be a part of Victor Magtanggol, was not in the plug.
An airing date for Victor Magtanggol is yet to be announced, but GMA-7's ongoing prime-time series The Cure already announced its last three weeks.
