Mark Neumann recalls reason for transferring to ABS-CBN from TV5

On his transfer to ABS-CBN from TV5, Mark Neumann admits, "There was not enough work anymore and we have to work."



It has been almost a year since Mark Neumann transferred to ABS-CBN, after his five-year contract with former mother network TV5 expired in July 2017.

During his July 17 interview in Tonight With Boy Abunda, Mark shared the story behind his transfer.

He told Boy, "I finished my contract in the other network, it was five years.

"And of course, there was not enough work anymore and we have to work, we have to earn."

In late 2016, TV5 stopped producing entertainment shows and focused on sports.

This left some of their talents in limbo in terms of TV projects.

Some of his colleagues went to other networks, while most of them decided to leave show business.

For instance, his love team partner in TV5 Shaira Mae has already moved to GMA-7 with the screen name Shaira Diaz.

Why did Mark decide to continue acting in television with another network

He answered, "Kasi I'm supporting myself since I was 16. I'm 23 now."

It was in August 2017 when Mark started appearing in ABS-CBN shows, including ASAP and the prime-time series La Luna Sangre.

Last June 2018, Mark appeared in his first Maalaala Mo Kaya episode with Michelle Vito and Rufa Mae Quinto.




Currently, Mark is seen in the Star Cinema movie I Love You, Hater, and the upcoming film Harry and Patty.

KATHNIEL AND JOSHLIA. Mark was also asked about working with Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla in La Luna Sangre.

The former TV5 actor praised the KathNiel love team, whom he worked with for eight months.

He recalled, "With KathNiel, it was really good, it was really cool. Both of them are really nice.

"Super chill lang ni Daniel, he's a very humble person. He doesn't really care what his name is or how big he is already, sometimes I'm sitting down he approaches me and says hi.

"Kathryn is also nice, she greets you."

Meanwhile, in I Love You, Hater, Mark was able to share scenes with Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto.

He said about this, "Also really good but I only worked not too much, four days lang yata.

"Pero from what I saw, happy couple, for example, pagod si Joshua, power hug lang [from Julia] before the scene sometimes para magka-energy."
