Superstar Nora Aunor said that she has no problem working in any of the three major TV networks in the Philippines—GMA-7, ABS-CBN, and TV5.
Nora gave this statement as she returns to prime time TV via GMA-7’s Onanay, which starts airing on August 6.
Addressing the question about her preferred TV network, Nora said that it’s a matter of making the most out of every work experience regardless of which TV network she’s in.
Nora had an exclusive contract with TV5 from 2011 to 2014.
After her contract with TV5 expired, Nora transferred to GMA-7 and headlined Little Nanay with Kapuso actress Kris Bernal. It aired from November 2015 to March 2016.
How does she feel about returning to Kapuso prime-time TV after two years?
She also commended GMA-7 for the way it takes good care of its stars.
Talking about her observation with how the industry works at present time compared to her younger days, Nora said, “Halos pareho din naman ang kalakaran sa showbiz noon at ngayon.
Noong araw, kanya-kanya.”
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) interviewed Nora at the press conference of Onanay held at Le Reve events place last July 26.
Nora went on to say that she’s thrilled to play Nelia, the mother of showbiz newbie Jo Berry, who is cast as Onay.
Born with achondroplasia or a bone growth ailment, Onay will suffer harsh treatment from other people because of her being a little person.
Of her role as Onay’s mother, Nora elaborated, “Sa Little Nanay happy-happy lang sa mga anak.
Nora went on to say that it is her pleasure to support showbiz newcomers like Jo.
For her part, Nora said that she cannot ask for more than the opportunities she had in her 51 years in show business.
Some of Nora's most notable works in the film industry are: Tatlong Taong Walang Diyos (1976), Bona (1980), Himala (1982), The Flor Contemplacion Story (1995), and Thy Womb (2012), among many others.
