Two actresses are now returning to GMA-7 after several years of being with ABS-CBN.
These actresses are Teresa Loyzaga and Lilet Esteban, who will be part of the upcoming afternoon series My Special Tatay.
My Special Tatay is an upcoming GMA afternoon series to be top-billed by Kapuso actor Ken Chan.
Also part of the drama series are Arra San Agustin, Candy Pangilinan, Jillian Ward, Carmen Soriano, and Bruno Gabriel.
Ken Chan posted his photo with My Special Tatay co-stars on his Twitter account. He wrote in the caption: "Excited na ba kayong makilala si Boyet? hehe #MySpecialTatayMalapitNa"
Maine Mendoza, who was a schoolmate of Ken at the College of St. Benilde, replied to Ken by writing: "Yes yes bro! Congratulations on your new project! We cannot wait to meet Boyet like omg sana right now na? Is he from Taft too? lol congrats, Ken Chan!"
Ken responded by writing: "Yes yes bro! Thank you so much I was like OH MY GOODNESS IT’S MY IDOL MAINE MENDOZA Yes he’s from taft like along Estrada St. corner Singalong St. Thank you Meng! Congrats din sa movie niyo ah manonood kami nyan!!!"
He was referring to Maine's upcoming movie with Vic Sotto and Coco Martin.
The story conference was held last August 3.
This marks Teresa's first full-length teleserye with GMA-7 after many years.
Before she took a break from showbiz, Teresa was seen in the Kapuso shows Anna Karenina and L back in the '90s.
In 2014, after staying in Australia for several years, Teresa returned to acting via ABS-CBN's Hawak Kamay.
She was also given meaty roles in teleseryes Pasion De Amor (2015) and Hanggang Saan (2017).
In May 2018, after the finale of Hanggang Saan, Teresa played a guest role in the Kapuso prime-time series The Cure, and an episode of Tadhana.
My Special Tatay is also the first teleserye of Lilet with GMA-7 since her showbiz comeback.
Before taking a break in showbiz, Lilet was part of the defunct variety program SOP until 2006.
In 2014, she returned to showbiz and joined the Kapamilya series Forevermore.
She was also part of Wansapantaym: Holly & Mau (2016), Langit Lupa (2017), A Love To Last (2017), and Wansapanataym: Gelli In A Bottle.
Meanwhile, this is Ken's follow-up series after his special participation in The Cure, where he was also paired with Arra.
The series will be directed by LA Madridejos, Ken's director in Meant To Be.
