Marco Gumabao joins ABS-CBN's teleserye Los Bastardos together with Ronaldo Valdez, Jake Cuenca, Albie Casino, Josh Colet, and Diego Loyzaga.

Star Magic-turned-VIVA artist Marco Gumabao is included as one of the leads in ABS-CBN's upcoming drama series Precious Hearts Romances: Los Bastardos.

The six lead actors of this drama series were revealed last Friday, August 31.

Aside from Marco, top-billing the next installment of Precious Hearts Romances (PHR) are Jake Cuenca, Albie Casiño, Josh Colet, and Diego Loyzaga, and Ronaldo Valdez.

This is Marco's first teleserye as one of the leads after he signed up with VIVA Artists Agency last September 2017.

After signing up with VIVA, Marco appeared in drama anthologies of ABS-CBN and GMA-7.

He also had a short stint in the ABS-CBN afternoon series Hanggang Saan, as third wheel to Arjo Atayde and Sue Ramirez.

Jane Oineza, whose character was recently killed in the ongoing PHR series Araw Gabi, will serve as one of the leading ladies in the show.

Los Bastardos is the third ABS-CBN teleserye of former TV5 actress Ritz Azul.

Beauty queens Maxine Medina and Kylie Versoza will also be part of this drama series.

Other cast members of the show include Pinky Amador, Jean Saburit, Mika Javier, Mary Jane Apostol, Lito Pimentel, and Jeffrey Santos.

In an interview with Push, lead actor Diego said that there will be a lot of topless scenes for the male leads of the show.

"Kailangan kong magpaganda ng katawan kasi nakakahiya sa mga kasama ko sa show. Puro kasi kami topless dito ng mga boys."

This marks the first time that the former Pusong Ligaw actor will tackle a daring role.

"Dapat kasi maging believable ako kasi patatandain ako dito. Nagpapatubo ako ng balbas para magmukha akong nasa 30s."

In terms of his physique, he only said, "Kailangan kong humabol kasi nakakahiya naman kina Jake Cuenca, Albie, di ba?"

Los Bastardos will be helmed by the same production and creative teams that handled Maja Salvador's successful prime-time series Wildflower.
