Another Filipino singer recently received a standing ovation in The X Factor UK.
Sephy Francisco was recognized not just for giving an excellent performance but also for taking on both the male and vocal parts of a song.
The transgender performer impressed the judges for her version of "The Prayer," popularized by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli.
The X Factor UK judges Ayda Field, Simon Cowell, Robbie Williams, and former One Direction member Louis Tomlinson were left dumbfounded by Sephy's unique talent.
Sephy started by singing in Celine Dion's lines but when she performed the Italian lines of Andrea Bocelli, she shifted to a man’s voice.
The judges and audiences were shocked to hear Sephy perform a duet with herself.
“Well, that was a surprise,” said judge Ayda Field.
Simon Cowell observed, "I've never judged a duo who’s one person! This is incredible. I save money, you make more money!"
Sephy got a “yes” vote from all four judges, allowing her to move on to the next round in the competition.
Last January, Sephy also performed her version of "The Prayer" on the South Korean game show I Can See Your Voice.
