Aljon Mendoza and Lie Reposposa have been declared safe from eviction because they won in the "Hatak Attack" challenge in Pinoy Big Brother Otso.

There are also four Star Dreamers who have the chance to become an official Pinoy Big Brother housemate.

In "Hatak Attack" challenge, the official PBB Otso housemates had to learn how to pull a tableloth without disturbing objects placed on a table.

They worked in pairs and they faced each other in three rounds.

In the first round, Seth and Karina were eliminated for getting the lowest score of 4 points. In Round Two, Kaori and Karina got the lowest score at 7 points.

By the third round, Alojon and Lie got 12 points, meaning they cannot be voted for during the nomination night.

In Camp Star Hunt, the Star Dreamers were divided into two teams and they had to learn how to become gym instructors.

The two groups had to conduct an aerobics class for 15 clients who then chose which group was better in being gym instructors. The groups were also assessed by the two coaches who taught them how to be gym instructors.

Team GG Force won the challenge and the four potential housemates are: Gabby, Kurt, Missy and Rhys.

Who among the four Star Dreamers will get into the house and who among the housemates will be evicted? We’ll find out this Sunday.

TASK TIFF.

Last week, the PBB Otso housemates had a misunderstanding while doing their weekly task.

In Bahay ni Kuya, the four male and four female official teen housemates had to practice for their first weekly task, which caused tension among the housemates because several of them showed a lack of effort to practice.

The weekly task asked the eight housemates to pair up by random draw. Then each pair had to prepare a dance performance while painting a sector of the PBB Otso logo on a canvas laid out on the floor.

The pairs were Art and Jelay, Seth and Karina, Aljon and Lie, and Josh and Kaori.

Josh refused to take the task seriously. He was not focused at all, and chose to leave his partner Kaori in the practice area.

NOOD KA MUNA!

This greatly distressed Kaori because she wanted to win the task. Kaori, the oldest teen housemate at 18 years old, was stuck with the youngest housemate, who was 13 years old, and she didn’t know how to communicate with Josh the importance of the task for her.

The winning pair will get P8,888 each, plus a chance to give a gift to a loved one. Kaori told Kuya that the task is important because she wanted to give her mother a gift, as a thank you for her effort to work hard in Japan to provide for Kaori’s needs.

Meanwhile, Josh, who comes from an affluent family in Davao, said he does not feel the need to provide anyone a gift. But with Kuya’s advice, Josh broke down and decided he should give his dad, a British businessman, a jacket so he can remember him while he is in the house.

After this, Josh was more receptive to Kaori’s instructions on their performance.

Later in the week, former PBB housemate Dawn Chang, a former dance teacher, entered the house to coach the housemates on their performances. She was disappointed because the choreography of every pair were lacking.

Kuya also scolded Art and Karina, the leaders of the task, for not taking control and letting the housemates practice without any organization.

In the end, Seth and Karina was the winning pair, after judges noted that they showed the most effort. They won the prizes plus immunity for the next round of nomination.

BOYS ARE PUNISHED.

Another cause of tension was the punishment that Kuya meted out to the male housemates for breaking the rule that they have to wear their lapel mics all the time.

Because of this, the male housemates had to be chained together while wearing an octopus costume. They also carried sandbags—the number of which depends on the number of times they broke the rule. Aljon broke this rule once, Art did it two times, Seth thrice, and Josh six times.

Kuya then made the boys do house chores while in the costume. There was a bit of tension when Josh shouted at the girls when they walked on the floor, which he had just mopped.

Later on, the boys told Kuya that they learned a lot while they were in punishment mode.
