Viewers are talking about the changes implemented in ABS-CBN's drama anthology show Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK).
In December 2018, MMK launched a teaser of its new look, including a new logo and new set-up for the spiels of its host, Charo Santos-Concio.
As seen in the teaser, Charo can now hold spiels in an exterior location.
Netizens noticed that instead of her usual sitting position, Charo is now seen standing up as she invited everyone to share their story through MMK.
On January 5, Facebook user Mark Jhay Sandiego posted a screenshot of Charo standing up, and wrote in the caption, "Ayieeee sawakas tumayo ka din HAHAHA #MMK"
As of this writing, the post has registered 11K reactions and 12K shares.
Another Facebook page called Di Umano also noticed that Charo stood up in the teaser.
The page wrote in its caption, "Matapos ang napakahabang panahon, sa wakas ay nakatayo na si Ma'am Charo Santos sa MMK!"
In the past, Charo used to sit down on a chair or a couch while reading the life stories of letter senders.
The set of MMK has also evolved during its 28-year run on television.
Check out how Charo and the MMK set looked like in former episodes of the Kapamilya drama anthology show:
"Kerubin" (1992)

"Selyo" (1994)

"Lupa" (1994)

"Abo" (1995)

"Dinuguan" (1996)

"Talaarawan" (1998)

"Oto San" (1999)

"Apron" (2000)

"Bus" (2006)

"Cellphone" (2007)

"Liham" (2011)

There were a few times in the past when Charo was seen standing in her opening spiels for MMK.
She opened the show while standing up for the 1997 episode, "Agiw," starring Jericho Rosales, Jackie Lou Blanco, and Gloria Romero.

The new logo of MMK was first seen last Saturday, January 5, when it aired the replays of McCoy de Leon and Gerald Anderson's episodes.

MMK, which is going on its 28th year, is now under RSB Drama Unit, ABS-CBN's entertainment department helmed by business unit head, Ruel Santos Bayani.
Coincidentally, Bayani used to be a writer, headwriter, creative manager, and director of MMK episodes in the past.
The first RSB-produced episode of MMK will be top-billed by Barbie Imperial and Paulo Angeles. It will air this Saturday, January 12.
