Rhys Eugenio is thankful for the support he received when he was evicted from the Pinoy Big Brother house.

Ex-Pinoy Big Brother housemate Rhys Eugenio is thankful to viewers and netizens who supported him when he got evicted from the PBB house on January 1, 2019.

In that episode, Rhys and his fellow teen housemates Karina Bautista and Seth Fedelin, participated in a difficult challenge. They had to transfer water from a pool to a tall container by passing through a maze.

Karina and Seth had an advantage because the other housemates chose to add a glass of water to their containers. Nobody chose to put water in Rhys's container.

Rhys lost in the challenge, causing him to be evicted.

There were netizens and viewers who believed that this was unfair to Rhys. For this reason, the hashtag #JusticeForRhys trended on Twitter that night.

In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) after the media conference for the teen housemates today, January 9, Rhys thanked all his fans for believing in him.

"Sobrang maraming maraming salamat sa lahat for supporting me and thinking that I should be in the Big 4."

The 17-year-old housemate admitted that he found the challenge "unfair."

However, he also believes that the challenge was done for a reason.

It may be recalled that Rhys, Karina, and Seth, along with Missy Quino, decided to let go of their chance to compete in the Big Jump to Big Four challenge.

Big Brother showed his disappointment by ignoring them, prompting Missy to voluntarily exit the PBB house.

Rhys continued, "Tapos iniisip ko, medyo unfair yung challenge, pero the reason why I was in that challenge kasi I withdrew my slot in the Big 4, so Kuya said one of us has to leave.

"So the first challenge, we did super good in it pero we didn't reach all eight balls.

"Tapos yung next challenge, medyo unfair."

Rhys clarified that he was not angry at anyone because of the incident.

"Pero I'm not mad at Kuya, I'm not mad at my fellow housemates who didn't help me, okay lang sa akin.

"I just did my best, tried my best so I'm proud of myself po."

In the end, Karina made it to the Big Four along with Kaori Oinuma, Lie Reposposa, and Jelay Pilones.

All the teen housemates have already left the PBB house, but the winner of their batch has yet to be announced.
