Ria Atayde is now making a name for herself in the local showbiz scene as an actress.
The ABS-CBN star is the daughter of veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez and the sister of Arjo.
In an interview with Magandang Buhay last January 23, Ria recalled that she almost started her journey in showbiz by auditioning for Pinoy Big Brother.
The Kapamilya star candidly recalled what made her follow her mom and brother's footsteps.
Ria pointed out, "Hindi ko naman binalak mag-showbiz talaga. Nung nag-graduate ako sa college, umalis ako.
“Then nung tumawag si Mommy, may audition raw.
"Nanaginip ako na umaarte ako, so sabi ko 'Okay, this has to be a sign.'"
The actress came back and auditioned for some shows, including Pinoy Big Brother.
"Nag-audition ako for PBB, kaso umalis ako bago yung final interview," she said.
She did not complete the audition process because she felt she did not deserve to be a PBB housemate.
Ria got her big break when she was cast in the 2015 TV series Ningning. She is part of the Kapamilya prime-time series Halik.
