Pinoy Big Brother Otso housemate Karina Bautista has confirmed her breakup with non-showbiz boyfriend of four years, Christian Dronio.
Karina disclosed her current relationship status during the January 27 episode of Gandang Gabi Vice, which is hosted by Vice Ganda.
When asked if she and Christian were still a couple, Karina answered:
“Ngayon po, hindi na po. Friends na lang. Siguro po para may soul searching ganun po kasi mahirap yung nangyari,” revealed the PBB Otso housemate.
Karina parted ways with Christian but maintained that she is still on good terms with her ex-boyfriend.
The 16-year-old girl was criticized by viewers when she admitted that she felt an attraction to fellow housemate Aljon Mendoza even though she had a boyfriend in the outside world.
Karina, who was dubbed as Miss Independent ng Isabela City, eventually became part of the Big Four of PBB Otso's first batch of teen housemates.
While she was still inside the PBB house in December 2018, Christian appeared in a video wherein he declared his love for his then-girlfriend:
"Pumasok ka ng bahay ni kuya na mahal kita, lalabas ka ng Bahay ni Kuya na mahal pa rin kita."
A month later, Christian is seen auditioning for GMA-7’s StarStruck VII.
Through a YouTube video uploaded by a fellow StarStruck auditionee, Christian explained why he decided to join the Kapuso Network's artista search: "May gusto lang akong patunayan."
