Karina Bautista finally broke her silence about her complicated love life during her interview on Tonight with Boy Abunda last February 7.

Karina talked to the talk show host about the two men in her life: her ex-boyfriend Christian Dronio and former PBB Otso housemate Aljon Mendoza.

Karina confirmed that she has ended her four-year relationship with Christian. She said it was a mutual decision.

"Hindi lang po ako. We decided it both.”

Was it because her boyfriend was hurt when she expressed her attraction to Aljon in the PBB house?

"Siguro isa na rin po yun,” Karina replied. “Pero mas nangingibabaw po siguro yung time mag-isip. Ganun Tito Boy, that's why I don't want to rush things po muna."

She added that her Christian and her family took the break-up well.

"Naintindihan naman po siya. Actually nakausap ko pa po yung family niya and they're fine."

She also stressed that she did not separate from Christian just to start a relationship with Aljon. The fellow former housemate is not even courting her.

"Hindi po nanliligaw si Aljon. We're still friends po. Just friends po muna. Kasi parang it's respect for myself na in Tito Boy, na I don't want to rush into things pa, lalo na ngayon, magulo pa,” Karina said.

How did she feel when she was called “malandi” by PBB viewers?

”Siyempre as human, masakit po talaga yun,” she said, then added how she can rise above it.

“Gaya ng sinabi ni Catriona [Gray, Miss Universe], that doesn't define you. Why would you let those people who don't even know you define you with their words."

Karina ended the interview by telling viewers:

"Learn from your mistakes. Yung nangyari, hindi ko po pinili yun.

"If I had the chance to choose, why would I choose something that would hurt me eventually in the end, so it's kind of nonsense, Tito Boy, so why would I do that?

"Pero I didn't see it and yun yung nangyari. But I've accepted it. Actually, mahirap mag-sorry. And I've said sorry a million times."
