Former ABS-CBN actresses and Star Magic batchmates Lauren Young and Empress Schuck are reuniting again after 10 years.
This time, they are working in rival network GMA-7 for the daytime series, Hiram na Anak, starring Yasmien Kurdi.
In the past, Lauren and Empress have appeared in several TV projects together.
Their first project together was the youth-oriented series, Abt Ur Luv, aired from 2006 to 2008.
Their co-stars back then included Shaina Magdayao, Rayver Cruz, Enchong Dee, and the late AJ Perez.
This was later replaced by another youth-oriented series called Astigs, which ran from January to May 2008. Astigs also comprised of Abt Ur Luv cast members except for Shaina and Rayver.
In November 2018, the official fan club of Enchong Dee called ChongDees Republic unearthed an old photo of Astigs's cast members in an episode they shot in the summer of 2008.
In the group photo were: Jessy Mendiola, Martin del Rosario, Zia Marquez, AJ Perez, Chris Gutierrez, Angelo Patrimonio, Dino Imperial, Alfonso Martinez, Lauren Young, Megan Young, Enchong Dee, Empress Schuck, Victor Basa, Valeen Montenegro, Max Collins (formerly Isabelle Abierra), and director Erick Salud.
Among those in the photo, Lauren, Megan, Valeen, Max, and Martin are now signed with GMA-7, while Jessy and Enchong have remained exclusive artists of ABS-CBN and Star Magic.
Empress, on the other hand, is now a freelancer and can do projects for both ABS-CBN and GMA-7.
Aside from Abt Ur Luv and Astigs, Lauren and Empress also worked together in Your Song presents Imposible (2008) and Your Song presents Underage (2009).
In September 2017, Martin del Rosario told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) that he, Empress, and Lauren will work together again in a Kapuso blocktimer program called Let The Sunshine In.
However, at present, no updates have been reported if the show is already shelved.
