Pinoy Big Brother 3 Double Up will air pilot episode on October 4

Registration for Pinoy Big Brother 3 Double Up and Pinoy Dream Academy 3 will take place on September 20 in Santa Clara, California. Auditions will also take place in Tokyo onSeptember 13.

After their journey to 17 audition sites, and record-breaking turnout of 57,824 auditioners, the Pinoy Big Brother team is trimming down the list of possible housemates for the hit reality program's third season, Pinoy Big Brother 3 Double Up.

To date, the team has already chosen the Top 50 potential housemates with interesting life stories and characters who may stand a chance to become the next Big Winner after Nene Tamayo (Season 1 grand winner) and Beatriz Saw (Season 2 grand winner).

However, the team is still studying their options. The number of official housemates who'll stay inside the Pinoy Big Brother house is not yet final since it will all depend upon the succeeding casting process' tests results.

For those who are eager to know more about the Top 50, here are some clues. PBB gave out the number of shortlisted potential housemates per area. There are 11 possible housemates from Manila, six from Pampanga and Tarlac, four from Baguio, and eight from Cebu, Bohol, and Roxas. There are also ten possible housemates from Butuan, Davao, and General Santos, six from Batangas and Camarines Sur, and finally, five from Europe.

In preparation for the upcoming season, PBB will be buying state-of-the-art-equipment as part of their technical systems upgrade. This move should accommodate the season's concept and twists.

Every season, the Pinoy Big Brother house changes its looks. As of today, the house structure and design are carefully being renovated.

Looking back, PBB Celebrity Edition 1 went back to basics, leaving the house practically empty of furniture. The grand winner of this edition was Keanna Reeves. In PBB Celebrity Edition 2, Kuya kept the delinquent housemates inside a detention room. In the end, the Komedyanteng Promdi Ruben Gonzaga won the grand prize. In PBB Teen Edition Plus, where Ejay Falcon emerged as the Big Winner, the housemates' guardians had their own living quarters.

Good news also to our Kapamilyas in the U.S. and Japan. The audition team for PBB 3 Double Up, and Pinoy Dream Academy 3 will hold auditions in the U.S. during the "One Kapamilya Go Fiesta" California's Great America at Santa Clara, California on September 20.
