Joey Marquez and Raymart Santiago play roles that are totally different from real life.
Man-about-town Joey is business-minded Peter while family man Raymart is the happy-go-lucky Mario in the newest GMA-7 sitcom, Who's Your Daddy Now?
These two unattached bachelors get the surprise of their life when a 13-year old teenage girl suddenly shows up in their doorstep, claiming to be the daughter of one of them. Realizing that they both had a past with the girl's mother but refusing to be singled out as Andrea's (Alynna Asistio) true father, Peter and Mario decided to take the girl in and agree to face the responsibilities of being her daddies.
Joey directed the pilot episode of this new KiliTV sitcom, which airs on April 16 after Jumong on GMA-7. In an interview with PEP (Philipppine Entertainment Portal), Joey told people to expect "a more wholesome comedy. But it's the same intensity of laughter you get from Lagot Ka Isusumbong Kita [his now defunct sitcom]. Ang bonus lang dito, there are certain lessons like how to handle a kid."
She finds a confidante in the gullible Paul (Paolo Contis), who is also a friend and apartment boarder of Peter and Mario aside from being their business co-owner, runner and messenger.
Andrea also endears herself to the people close to her new family. There's Stephanie (Jean Garcia), Mario's cousin who is very much in love with Peter. She owns the Laundromat right beside the All Event/Party Needs shop. Then there's also Madam Candida or Mamu Candy (Celia Rodriguez), the strict owner of the apartment and proprietress of the Pugon de Pandesal bakery. Despite her snootiness, she has a soft spot for Peter and Mario and even becomes motherly to them. Last but not the least is the stay-out maid Diding (Julia Lopez), who is the object of Paul's affection but is secretly infatuated with Mario.
Directed by Romeo Baytion, Who's Your Daddy Now? airs every Monday night after GMA's Telebabad block starting April 16.
