Presidential candidates will appear on ANC’s Harapan, Dec 2

ANC host Che-Che Lazaro interviewed Joseph "Erap" Estrada during its leadership forum last June. On December 2, ANC will air a presidential forum titled Harapan: The ANC Presidential Forum.

The ABS-CBN News Channel will bring together key presidential candidates in a face-off a day after the deadline for the filing of certificates of candidacies.

Former President Joseph Estrada and Senators Noynoy Aquino and Manuel Villar are among the presidential candidates who will join Harapan: The ANC Presidential Forum on Wednesday, December 2, at the University of Santo Tomas (UST). The others who are expected to attend the forum are former Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro, former Public Works Secretary Hermogenes Ebdane Jr., Angeles City councilor JC De los Reyes, and environmentalist Nicanor Perlas.

Live on ANC from 7 pm to 9 pm, the forum is co-sponsored by the Commission on Elections and the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV).

Last June, ANC also sponsored the Countdown to 2010: An ANC Leadership Forum that featured Makati mayor Jejomar Binay, Bayani Fernando, Senator Loren Legarda, and Joseph "Erap" Estrada.

Since then, Binay has agreed to run as Vice President under the United Opposition banner with Presidential aspirant Erap Estrada. Meanwhile, Senator Loren Legarda is now running for the vice presidency under the Nationalist People’s Coalition with Presidential aspirant Manny Villar. Ex-MMDA chairman Bayani Fernando is still in the running for President.

Harapan will be replayed on ABS-CBN on December 6, on Sunday’s Best at 10:30 pm.
