Muling mapapanood ng publiko ang isa sa pinakamalaking parangal pan-telebisyon na naganap sa taong 2009. Ito’y ang 23rd Star Awards for Television ng Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) na ginanap noong Nobyembre 29, 2009, sa Pagcor Grand Theater, sa Paranaque City.
Ang repeat telecast, mapapanood sa kabuuan nito, mula ika-10 ng gabi (Disyembre 30) hanggang ika-1 ng umaga (Disyembre 31) ay isasahimpapawid sa Net 25 (Channel 18).
RP TV’S BESTS. Hosted by Piolo Pascual, Carmina Villarroel and John Lloyd Cruz, the 23rd Star Awards for Television 2009 was a gathering of the most popular celebrities and top-caliber actors/actresses in Philippine television.
Dito’y binigyan ng special recognition, ang Ading Fernando Lifetime Achievement Award, ang star builder na si Johnny Manahan (ng Star Magic). Iniluklok naman sa kataas-taasang pagkilalang Hall of Fame ang noontime program na Eat...Bulaga! ng GMA-7. At para sa kanyang mga kontribusyon sa larangan ng malawakang paghahatid-ulat, ang Excellence in Broadcasting Award ay iginawad kay Vice President Noli De Castro.
Napiling Best Station ng taong 2009 ang ABS-CBN.
Bago matapos ang taong 2009, magandang balikan ang naitalang tagumpay ng mga nagsipagwagi sa 23rd Star Awards for Television ng PMPC. Ang programa ay produksiyon ng VIP Access Media, sa direksiyon ni Erick Salud.
PIONEERING EFFORT. On December 31, a special premiere telecast of the 1st Star Awards for Music 2009 is also scheduled, on Net 25. Starting at 10 pm, the three-hour TV special ends at midnight on January 1, New Year’s Day. A pioneering effort of the local entertainment-based Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC), viewers of this special telecast will be treated to production numbers from the country’s best talents and achievers in the recording field.
Presented by the PMPC, in cooperation with the National Press Club (NPC) and the AFIMA (Alyansa ng mga Filipinong Mamamahayag), the 1st Star Awards for Music 2009 has provided added excitement to the local music scene, and was generally accepted in the industry for giving its proponents the worthy recognition that they deserve.
For this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award in the 1st Star Awards for Music, the PMPC bestowed the honors to the APO Hiking Society.
