Three gay sampaguita vendors band together in MMK

In Maalaala Mo Kaya, (from left) Alwyn Uytingco, Martin del Rosario and IC Mendoza play sampaguita vendors who live in the streets since their families rejected them.

In the May 1 episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya, viewers will be able to witness the story of Nicole, Samantha and Jamaica: three gay sampaguita vendors who were rejected by their own families but formed strong bonds of friendship with each other.

They joined gangs for security, got involved in sex trafficking for survival and even tried drugs for ephemeral escape and ecstasy. These juvenile delinquents made a pact to protect each other from all the adversities that the slums, streets, and life in general may offer.
