GMA-7’s latest family sitcom, Kaya Ng Powers, starts with a bang on its timeslot after registering high viewer rating on the Sabado Star Power Block.
The entire cast and production team had reason to celebrate when its July 24 pilot episode toppled its competition with 10.5 percent Mega Manila people rating, according to data supplier AGB Nielsen Philippines. The sitcom has gained popularity for its laugh-out-loud moments, funny one-liners and talented cast.
This Saturday, July 31, the Powers Family--headed by Joey Marquez as Dr. Robert Powers, Rufa Mae Quinto as Mrs. Margaret Powers, Rhian Ramos as Hillary Powers, Sheena Halili as Shalani Powers, and Elmo Magalona as Gustin Powers--faces their first real enemy called Lineman. They discover that Donald (Bearwin Meily) created Lineman to steal all the electricity in the country.
One day, Gustin encounters Lineman on his way home. Lineman attacks his Yaya Alfreda (Dang Cruz). Gustin escapes and asks his sisters Hillary and Shalani to help his nanny.
Can Hillary and Shalani beat the powers of Lineman? Will Gustin finally discover his hidden powers? How will Gustin’s newfound abilities affect his mother, Margaret?
Kaya ng Powers also stars Jaya as Helen, Rocco Nacino as Clinton, Enzo Pineda as Noy, Alyssa Alano as Eva, Diego Llorico as as Bebe Girl, and Elija Alejo as Amphie.
Kaya ng Powers airs every Saturday right after 24 Oras Weekend on the Sabado Star Power block of GMA-7.
