From 12 noon to 12 midnight, music lovers filled the Music Hall of SM Mall of Asia last November 25 to catch a glimpse of their favorite singers and bands. The one-day event marked the first anniversary celebration of Music Mo Sikat (MMS), a one-hour music-TV program hosted by Raymond Gutierrez, Alessandra de Rossi and R&B singer Jay-R. It is aired daily, from Monday to Friday, 4:30-5:30 p.m. at QTV 11.
According to Mildred Natividad, executive producer of S-Files and MMS, "it was a highly successful event, with a jampacked audience staying all throughout the day. We aired the event in a week-long anniversary special of MMS."
The twelve-hour musical event at Mall of Asia featured 15 solo artists and 49 bands. "It’s probably the longest musical event put up by a regular TV show as an anniversary celebration. We also had the participation of all the recording companies thru booths where the fans were able to buy CDs of their favorite singers," narrates Mildred to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal).
Among those spotted at the event were: Soul Siren Nina, Sofia, Kim Flores together with Pinoy Pop Superstars’ Jonalyn Viray, Gerald Santos, Brennan Espartinez, Michael Garcia and Harry Santos. To excite the crowd even more, rock bands were invited -- Sandwich, 6Cycle Mind, Stone Free, Shamrock, Barbie Almalbis, Protein Shake, Itchyworms, Callalily, Imago, and Rocksteddy.
GMA-7 stars such as the Pop Star Kids, StarStruck Avengers as well as Marky Cielo and Mark Herras showed their support for the QTV 11 show. The CompanY and Freestyle also performed to the delight of the waiting crowd.
