Bubble Gang celebrates 15th anniversary with horror-comedy musical extravaganza

The funny Bubble Gang team will give life to Yoyoy Villame’s song "Bungalow" tonight, October 29, as the show marks its 15 years in television.

The wacky crew of Bubble Gang salutes legendary singer-songwriter and comedian Yoyoy Villame with a special Halloween presentation that will be aired tonight, October 29.

Celebrating 15 years of making the Filipino viewers laugh, Ogie Alcasid and Michael V. adopt Villame’s song "Bungalow"—a single which tells the story a young man’s hair-raising experience after taking ownership of a haunted house from a dead relative.

Bitoy (Michael V.) and Ogie play cousins who inherited an old house previously owned by their dead grandfather. The two ignores prior misgivings about the property largely because of the sexy ladies living around the area.

A mysterious but attractive lady also enters the picture. Unknown to the awed cousins, the enigmatic woman happens to be a ghost roaming around the old house.

As the dark secrets enveloping the house start to unravel, Ogie and Bitoy decides to stay put and combat the spirits inhabiting the bungalow. Expect riot and rib-tickling action as the battle between mortals and spirits take shape in the country’s longest running gag show.

Known in the local music scene as the King of Novelty Pop, Villame’s other songs will also be featured in the presentation.

Tonight’s offering will also introduce Jackie Rice, Gwen Zamora, Ellen Adarna, and Sam Pinto as the new additions to the Bubble Gang team. The four sexy and beautiful ladies will form the group called the "Bubblets."

Providing additional comic punches are Wendell Ramos, Rufa Mae Quinto, Antonio Aquitania, Maureen Larrazabal, and Boy 2 Quizon.

"Walang formula talaga," original mainstay and creative director Michael V. said about the show’s winning recipe. "What we do is we listed to the audience and ’yon ang ginagawa namin."

As for Bubble Gang’s longevity in the television business, "taking one episode at a time" is something like an unspoken mantra constantly followed by the entire team.

"’Yong dedication namin nandun. We didn’t care kung gaano katagal siya tatagal, basta kami binibigay naman ang best namin and we make sure na mas magaling ’yong performance namin kaysa dun sa huli," explained Michael V.
