Rhian Ramos had a lot of names in mind when she learned that she will be hosting a showbiz talk show for GMA News TV. This is the Kapuso network’s news channel that will officially start its telecast on February 28 on Channel 11 (formerly Q Channel 11).
They’re all my friends and paminsan-minsan laman din ako ng mga balitang binabalita nila," said Rhian during a trade launch held recently at A. Venue Events Hall in Makati City.
The 20-year-old actress-host is no stranger to intrigues, having to constantly deal both with pleasant and nasty rumors since her arrival in the industry in 2006.
Rhian pointed out the case of "Chikka Minute" anchor and Showbiz Central host Pia Guanio, who herself often comes up as a topic of discussion, particularly concerning her romantic relationship.
I think makakahanap din ako ng balance," she said.

"Mangiintriga na ko!" said Rhian with a laugh.
Turning serious, Rhian continued, "I wouldn’t say mangiintriga.
Rhian described the show as an entertainment talk program combined delivered in a manner commonly seen in traditional news reporting.
"’Yong style ng show namin iba siya kasi ibabalita namin ’yong showbiz news kung paano binabalita din ng regular news which is very serious. So, kung may makukuha rin akong peg, kaya lagi kong binabanggit si Pia Guanio kasi siya yata ’yong iniisip kong peg kung paano magiging ’yong show namin.
"Parang ’Chikka Minute,’ puro facts lang talaga and straight to the point. But then we’ll gonna have a longer show, as in full-length show na puro ganun ang treatment."
