"Bannered by two of the most credible and most respected names in broadcast news today--Mel Tiangco and Mike Enriquez--24 Oras posted a 34.1% average audience share in Total Urban Luzon, clearly topping TV Patrol’s 31.4 % and Willing Willie’s 23.1%.
"24 Oras posted an even bigger lead in Total Mega Manila. During the same period, the Kapuso primetime newscast led with 36.6% audience share, trouncing TV Patrol’s 29.7% and Willing Willie’s 24%.
"GMA-7’s Saksi--anchored by multi-awarded broadcast journalists Arnold Clavio and Vicky Morales--on the other hand, remains the leading late-night newscast.
"Total Urban Luzon ratings data show Saksi leading the competition with its 41.4% audience share. ABS-CBN’s SNN got 25.9% while TV5’s Journalismo posted 12%. Total Mega Manila ratings data show the same trend: Saksi’s 42.3% audience share winning over SNN’s 25.7% and Journalismo’s 12%.
"GMA News extends its dominance up to the weekends with 24 Oras Weekend anchored by Jiggy Manicad and Pia Arcangel. In Total Urban Luzon, 24 Oras Weekend led with 30.4% audience share compared to ABS-CBN’s Wansapanataym’s 24% and TV Patrol Weekend’s 26.9%, and TV5’s LOL’s 20.5% and Pidol’s Wonderland’s 18.1%.
"In Total Mega Manila, 24 Oras Weekend posted 31.6% as against ABS-CBN’s Wansapanataym’s 21.1% and TV Patrol Weekend’s 25.4%, and TV5’s LOL’s 22% and Pidol’s Wonderland’s 18.2%.
