Vice Ganda talks about his comedy show, Gandang Gabi Vice, and his upcoming solo movie

Vice Ganda says about his solo comedy show, Gandang Gabi Vice: "Hindi ba, everyday, it’s teleserye night para sa ating mga kapamilya, kapag Sabado, it’s MMK [Maalaala Mo Kaya], kaya kapag Sunday, breather muna, enjoy at saya, kantahan at kuwentuhan muna tayo!"

ABS-CBN brings to the forefront one of its rising superstars, Vice Ganda as he headlines his own comedy show titled Gandang Gabi Vice.

Last May 19, PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) saw how the comedian entertained audiences by engaging in light banter with his guests—Bea Alonzo, Kim Chiu, Star Power winner Angeline Quinto and Virgilio del Carmen of Pilipinas Got Talent fame.

Vice Ganda admitted that he felt sad when 2010 ended because he thought it already marked the peak of his career. But then he was pleasantly surprised to learn that ABS-CBN had big plans for him, including giving him his own comedy show.

Meron at meron talagang nakaplano para sa iyo," he said with a smile.

Gandang Gabi Vice, which will air Sunday nights on ABS-CBN, promises to deliver quality entertainment for the whole family. "Hindi ba, everyday, it’s teleserye night para sa ating mga kapamilya, kapag Sabado, it’s MMK [Maalaala Mo Kaya], kaya kapag Sunday, breather muna, enjoy at saya, kantahan at kuwentuhan muna tayo!"

From the makers of the Kapamilya network’s entertainment news and talk programs The Buzz, Entertainment Live, and Showbiz News Ngayon, Gandang Gabi Vice is a new format the combines the energy and entertainment of a comedy bar, and the comfort of an intimate and fun discussion among friends and family.

And what’s nice about the show is it’s an open format. Iba-iba ang aasahan mong mga pasabog linggo-linggo. Basta two things na hindi mawawala: entertainment and kuwentuhan," Vice enthused.

When asked about his upcoming projects, Vice Ganda revealed: "Ginagawa ko ang susunod kong solo movie under Viva Films and Star Cinema.

When asked to describe his upcoming movie, he narrated: "Galing ako sa isang pamilya ng mga sundalo at bakla ako dito.

Is it similar to Roderick Paulate’s movie, Kumander Gringa, which was released in 1987? In this film, Roderick’s character pretended to be a rebel commander and fell in love with a rebel official (portrayed by Richard Gomez).

Since Vice Ganda is very busy now, would he consider leaving Showtime to fulfill his other obligations?

"I will never leave Showtime," he declares.

Pag kami nagkahiwalay, maaapektuhan ako talaga, malulungkot ako."

Gandang Gabi Vice
premieres this Sunday, May 22, after Pilipinas Got Talent.
