PRESS STATEMENT FROM TV5:

"TV5 changes the Saturday viewing habit on its primetime block with the new sitcom Sugo Mga Kapatid.

"Wendell Ramos, Long Mejia and Joey Marquez team up in this heavenly show for Kapatid viewers that mix the witty humor of a Pinoy sitcom and a dash of fantasy to create a unique show.

"Wendell plays Angelico Jones, an angel-in-training who needs some on-the-job experience before being accepted into Eeaven. He is sent back to Earth as a human to help his two misfit friends, Paeng (Joey Marquez) and Miggy (Long Mejia).

"The two friends share a common love for old Ramon Revilla movies where they grow up believing in anting-antings and agimats. They believe that the amulets are a source of supernatural powers that could help uplift their lives.

"Now grown up, their crazy belief in amulets leads Paeng and Miggy into trouble. It is up to Angelico to make sure that his friends don’t get into more problems by secretly using his special powers granted by Heaven. Guiding Angelico is Santi (Kean Cipriano) who is keeping a scorecard of Angelico’s good deeds as he strives to earn his angel wings.

"Nova Villa joins the wacky mix where she plays the mother of Paeng and Miggy, who guide them in their proper ways.

"Others in the cast are Caloy Alde, Sammy Lagmay, Romy Santos, Gerald Yranon and Cacai Bautista. Adding beauty factor to the show are Renee Summer, Maxine Mamba, Jeck Conwi and Milagring.

"The sitcom is under the creative helm of Al Tantay and Faye Martel as Executive Producer.

"Sugo Mga Kapatid offers a new brand of comedy with a heart. It premieres on June 4, Saturday after Talentadong Pinoy."
