Rafael Rosell’s character in 100 Days to Heaven, named Bart, is torn between two beautiful ladies namely Jewel Mische as Jessica and Jodi Sta. Maria as Sophia.
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) got a chance to talk to Rafael last July 5, Tuesday, during the launch of E! Entertainment Television at The Establishment located at The Fort Entertainment Complex, 26th St., Corner 5th Ave., Fort Bonifacio, Global City, Taguig, Manila.
In 100 Days to Heaven, Rafael’s character named Bart is in a relationship with Jessica (portrayed by Jewel).
Meanwhile, Sophia (Jodi) enters his life—because of Madame Anna Manalastas’ (alternately portrayed by Coney Reyes and Xyriel Manabat) mission—as she becomes the Marketing Consultant of the Toy Company. But he eventually falls in love with Sophia. Would this be a new love team to watch for in the show?
"Hindi ko alam. Baka. Sana," he said with a laugh.
"Hindi ko masasabi for sure. Dahil ’yong nangyayari kasi ngayon, ’yong tine-taping namin ngayon, pinapalabas bukas—as in hand-to-mouth na kami."
"Kaya pati script din dumarating the night before," he added.
"Kaya hindi rin namin alam ’yong story dahil ’yong writers nagmi-meeting the day before," Rafael said.
If the situation of Bart will happen to him in real life, would he do the same thing?
"Sa story ngayon pinakita na in love na si Bart sa kanya (referring to Jewel’s character Jessica)...in that storyline he has to get out of the current relationship."
He even sang a few lines of "Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang" to emphasize his point.
"So it has heart dahil it’s a typical Filipino love story na kinikilig ’yong mga tao or ’yong mga tao rin nasa gano’ng sitwasyon."
"Pero I don’t think it’s the right thing to do, it’s not an advocate what I’m acting," he shared.
FIRST TIME. PEP.ph also got a chance to ask Rafael on how was it working with veteran actress Ms. Coney Reyes. (CLICK HERE to read related article)
"It’s an honor working with her," he said.
"And sobrang…si Coney Reyes ’yon eh. So siyempre parang sobrang excited ako na ’wow!’ isa na namang veteran actress ang makakasama ko."
"Every year may bago lagi, parang ang sarap lang ng feeling na nakakasama mo ’yong mga idol nila mommy at daddy nung kababata nila, kaya ’yon," he quipped.
ABS-CBN’s inspirational drama 100 Days to Heaven is leading in its timeslot, based on data from Kantar Media-TNS.
