Documentary "Graveyard Shift" airs on ABC 5 this Friday the 13th

A student documentary titled Graveyard Shift airs tonight, July 13, as part of the ABC 5 show DOKYU: Ang Bagong Mata ng Pinoy Documentaries.

A product of the Ordinary People filmmaking workshop sponsored by Alliance Francaise de Manille, this documentary takes a look at a day in the life of Mang Tolits, a gravedigger at the Makati Catholic Cemetery.

Mang Tolits is an ordinary Filipino with an extraordinary job. He is a gravedigger working for the Makati Catholic Cemetery. He does his daily routine, like mixing cement, takes his normal siestas and conducts burials for the less fortunate.

Penny Wise Pound-Foolish Productions and DLS-CSB Kino Eye Film Organization created this short film that documents a day in the life of a gravedigger. It will shock you, humor you and ultimately touch you with Mang Tolit’s unique character.
