The Philippines’ bet to the Miss Universe 2011 Shamcey Supsup is currently in Sao Paolo, Brazil together with the other contestants for the highly anticipated pageant. The pre-pageant will be held on September 8 and the coronation night will be on September 12 (September 13 in Manila).

The 25-year-old candidate hailing from General Santos City instantly created buzz after she topped various independent polls online. Shamcey graduated Magna Cum Laude from the UP Diliman College of Architecture and was the board topnotcher in the Architect Licensure Examination held in June 2010.

This year, the Miss Universe Organization will give one semi-finalist slot to any candidate who will get the highest number of votes worldwide in its official online poll which is why Filipinos are in full force voting and promoting Shamcey across the Internet. Filipinos have until September 11, 2011 at 6 p.m. ET (September 12, 2011 6 a.m. in the Philippines) to vote for Shamcey.

It seems Pinoy pageant aficionados need not to worry much about Shamcey as she seems to be in perfect shape for the competition. Her beauty, elegance, and sexy body shone in the official set of photos released by Miss Universe in its website where she wore a sexy swimsuit and a pink evening gown.

According to a report by ABS-CBN reporter Dyan Castillejo, Shamcey and the other candidates were taught how to cook Brazilian food and were able to watch a horse race at the Brazil jockey club.

Will Shamcey be able to bring back the crown to the Philippines after a long time and become the most beautiful woman in the universe?
