PRESS STATEMENT FROM GMA-7:
"GMA-7’s newest primetime offering, Iglot, was well-received by viewers on its first week of airing as revealed by its high ratings according to Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.
"For the period of August 29 to September 2, the Kapuso fantasy-drama garnered an average household share of 33.3 percent in Mega Manila, while 100 Days to Heaven, its counterpart in ABS-CBN, scored only 29.6 percent.
"Iglot also posted high numbers in Total Urban Luzon, which represents 77 percent of television households nationwide, with 31.5 percent against its rival program’s 30.6 percent.
"The series directed by Gil Tejada Jr. likewise gained positive feedback from viewers due to its engaging storyline and impressive performances from the cast.
"Claudine Barretto, Jolina Magdangal, Marvin Agustin, Luis Alandy,Pauleen Luna, Patrick Garcia, Ms. Celia Rodriguez, and new Kapuso child star Milkcah Wynne Nacion all showed consistency and depth onscreen as they establish the foundations of this original story.
"The story becomes more exciting as Iglot reveals the many magical and amusing things it is capable of doing. Allowing itself to be seen by Ningning (Milkcah Wynne Nacion) and Bal (Nicky Castro) only, Iglot easily transforms its body into a ball or make its tail glow in order to protect itself. The creature also proves to be a mischievous one after pulling pranks on Lola Idang (Celia Rodriguez).
"Mariella (Claudine Barretto), meanwhile, hires a private investigator to look for her missing daughter refusing to believe Juancho’s (Luis Alandy) claim that her child is already dead. Ramona (Jolina Magdangal), on the other hand, is drawn closer to Ningning upon seeing her being maltreated by Lola Idang.
"Find out what exciting changes Iglot brings to the lives of these characters in the story. Catch the exciting adventures of Iglot as the show continues to spread magic and love weeknights after 24 Oras on GMA Telebabad."
